The accusations about disparity of versions were made by only 1 person, and were already disproved. And no it's not about paying per se, but about how the creator comes here to cry about people sharing the currently paid version and mocking people commenting on the game while not being a suppporter. If I don't pay but I played the game, I can still have an opinion on it ? And how could this thread or these opinions lead to the death of the game ? People that support the game should 100% not bother with these "conversations" as they know they're keeping the project alive (plus the dev, putting money in is not doing everything); we're clearly not supposed to cross. So you can't come here and expect people to suddently support the game (implied by Ronci14's comments), they do as they wish.I read the recent discussion in this thread, and I think you guys are being a bit unfair to the game's creator, How many projects have died for less? And the accusations that content has been cut from the paid version are a bit absurd, I tested both versions and he usually posts the latest version on Patreon when he releases a new one for the public version. I know it's just a porn game and a lot of people think it's absurd to pay for pornographic content on the internet, but at least don't be a complete asshole.
First, much of what you said is correct. Second, I just think that the approach taken regarding the subject was a bit overkill. He already knows that there is no way to avoid this type of sharing. I just think there was no need to take the situation down a path of hate and mockery, as is quite implicit if you reread the comments. Third and last, despite people coming to this forum for a very obvious reason, discussing about the game and sharing information is still a way to support the game. The accusations about disparity of versions were made by only 1 person, and were already disproved. People saying the dev should earn less/cancel the project are ungrateful to him and to the game; if they have success with it, they can cry about it. Not to confuse with pushing back on bad practices (Ronci14 hasn't done anything bad with his way of making his game afaik, I think most bad reviews is about not liking it and not "dev is bad").
And again in no circumstances should baseless accusasions be thrown around which I came to fight back, because this a not a website to hate on devs, even if some people come here for that. Also I think it was more of a funny/troll-y exchange than a real attack.
To be fair the guy that was complaining about the cut scene being only on the patreon version was correct cause I remember playing the public version but when I went to play the polar bears scene it said it was locked to the patreons version, albeit it was only that one build and the creator hasn't done it since people complained about it. But for the creator to do it in the first place is pretty scummy. The accusations about disparity of versions were made by only 1 person, and were already disproved. There'll always be ignorant randoms, have no idea what the situation is, and start to take the moral high ground, thinks he's better than the rest. Those are the exactly the same crowd who would spread hate if it aligns with their own agenda. The accusations about disparity of versions were made by only 1 person, and were already disproved.
