I'll agree that there is little but a barebones structure here. A bigger problem is time management.
Update:
The Dev has updated some aspects of the game, but there are still serious problems. No longer is Shower and Food a problem, it's a buff for positive interactions. OK. But how has the core game improved? Sadly not. Upgrading the hotel to double or triple the rooms add employees you never see. If you actually hire employees, you pay more but get no real benefit. In fact, they make no meaningful contribution to the economy of the hotel. Seriously, I hired a front desk person and all she was really good for was what little sex I got after I increased her affection. I did just fine when I restarted and did it all by myself.
The Premium rooms were even worse. Seriously, I spent $20,000 on upgrading a premium room and all I got was a handjob after several days of improving her affection. <facepalm> So, basically, you're improving Premium rooms so you can have sex with the guests and hiring new employers for the same purpose. None of the premium guests or additional hires add anything to the underlying economy of the hotel. Renovate the Garden, Rec room, or add Premium rooms and your basic income doesn't go up at all. So, this game is still a grindy, unsatisfying mess.
Old Review:
Currently, the game is structured across 4 time periods morning, afternoon, evening and night. With sleep, that means there are four 4-hour time periods. Though it's possible that you may be able to interact with customers at night later in the game, early on your only choice is sleeping. So, initially, you only have three 4-hour time periods to accomplish your daily tasks.
That's where the problem comes in. Currently, eating and showering take up an entire time period each. So, basically you're taking 4 hours to eat and 4 hours to shower. That makes it nearly impossible to do anything else during the day, especially since your hunger prevents you from working if it drops to 25% and I'm guessing that smelling bad turns away customers.
Furthermore, you can't currently do anything on weekends . . . not even check people in. . . . at a hotel . . . huh?
So, the grind is intolerable, the game basically has no content and there is no reasonable or meaningful time management.
It may look polished but there's nothing really here and it will take forever to accumulate money for renovations to actually get to other meaningful content.
