:D

However, I have a feeling that it has been mentioned before that Raliv doesn't really care about this game and it's no longer his top priority.

Interesting mod pack..

Exactly, this game isn't Raliv's top priority as another game is worked on that takes things learned from this to make something better. Also has been mentioned several times that this game is not a priority and any updates are gonna be small things. Next update is supposed to be the one that gets the 1.0 sticker though which is honestly fine, this game is fun and hot for what it is.

Also thanks for sharing that modpack.

If it isn't his top priority where is the project he wish to work on!? Like, you at least make people aware what you want to work on and there is none info about this second project of his (unless if there is something on his patreon). I personally would be cool with this information if he at least gived a peek at this "new project", but he isn't. And one dude here is right people have paid for this "tech demo" called Archipelagates. Well, at least it will be finished in some form. Sorry if I act a little bit like a jerk, but this situation have made me a little mad.

As far as I know, Raliv didn't present any clear vision. Most of his posts are: "It's been a bit of working on tech and prototypes for the next game, but I took some time to make an update for Archipelagates."
So technical, architecture designs and prototypes of what the basis for other projects could look like. Like this one (rough UI, but you can see more free customization)

Also mentioned that he is working with other devs on some small game called "Horny Haunts".

I will be straight here, Raliv performing really risky move by jumping into next project without even finishing previous one, but this character editor looks promising. Although he still will be starting again from zero (creating game anew) I really hope that this "experience" gained from Archipelagates will help him. Though I'm still mad hearing the news that Archipelagates will "leave the scene" so soon because it's not the main focus or something like that.

I believe his Discord is accessible to everyone... So you should be able to get the updates from him directly.

This game is definitely in a weird place regarding what the dev is planning on making next, and not to mention probably working in tandem with both the new project and this sorta-experimental one. Plus, there's already a fan made mod pack that focuses on inflation/growth and better fluid simulation, so fans are already making more out of scrap that, really, hurts no one but themselves considering how little this has to offer. At any moment they could stop working on this and focus on getting the other project done, unless they keep this one in hopes of adding something experimental, see if it sticks, then decide to add it to the other newer project. Granted, plenty of animations, but gameplay wise? Barebones and not that well explained.

This is unfortunately Raliv's weaker side. He's more of a "technical" dude. Basically, the game hasn't changed much since the first build (except for some house upgrades and a few dialogues related to that).
Maybe it would be enough to make it instant simple roguelite fun and it could work. :)

There is supposed to be one last big update that Raliv is working on to make it worth a 1.0 sticker (at least in his eyes). We just have to wait and see how that update turns out.

Well, I hope you're right and Raliv won't disappoint. And yeah, speaking of "technical dude" side, it's really showing because his game is really smooth and there almost no bugs + plus good working cum system.

And I think this is one of reasons I got mad, because game with good start and developed "technical skeleton" getting abandoned so easily (at least I took the news you delivered like that at first). I guess I overreacted there...

On a good note though, here is my updated characters of Glory and Tsunami. I only slightly changed and improved them, but I thought I share this new versions anyway just for other players.

Edit: It's appearance files, I'm saying that just in case if people mistake them for NPC files. So, you can use them to create either player character or NPC for yourself.

I wish this game was a real looter game(like taking random stuff back to your house to decorate it or getting beds and inviting npcs that have affinity with you over to your house), storage is way too small and house building could have been great. The platforming and character customization is great though lacking in bases to use.

Dyes are much better now though they should have used a register system over items dragged into the menu

It's worth remembering Raliv, an independent dev presumably working in their free time, tried to get this game greenlit on Steam, but was denied and it couldn't be sold on that platform. I think it makes a lot of sense to still want to get some amount of money back from the couple hundred hours minimum spent making it (thus, it still costing $15 despite essentially being a side project), while also not wanting to tie yourself down to something that can't be monetized on the most popular online storefront (thus, jumping ship to a new project that might actually put food on their table).

Sucks for the people who've bought it (hey, that's me!), but Raliv wasn't forced to keep updating it at all after it became clear it was just a big hole to throw their spare time + money into. Seems to me like they wanted to make sure supporters weren't totally screwed with nothing to see for it.
