Agreed, I'm willing to bet they would take that into consideration. Wouldn't be hard to add a flag script that disables hostile actions towards the player when in a trapped state. Hostile mobs would either attack other NPC's or simply go dormant.Traps would be interesting as long as it something where the character can be interacted with but not attacked. It would kind of suck to get stuck in a portal/stocks setup, just to get fireballed to death.
I'd prefer the dormant state, otherwise it'd defeat the point of being trapped in a stockade or other similiar traps since they'll just attack everyone else.
OR
And this is a big 'or', they instead just replace the skeletons and add future mobs that are given a reactionary flag meaning they only go hostile if struck first. This would... probably make the game way too easy, so maybe add a difficulty scale or maybe make it so there is a way to know if the biome you entered is considered hostile or not?
I'm just spitballing here but hey, anything to hopefully help with the games development.
