I looked through thousands of Japanese non vn games trying to add some to the list. It seems that most of them are rape games, prostitution, etc.. where female protagonist are either getting gang banged or monster rape. Here in the west most games are male protagonist centered but it seems to be the opposite in Japan? Or is the Japanese female mc more favored in the west thus getting translated? Included female mc in the search to find maybe some pure yuri content (even monster girl yuri) but they are almost non-existent.

But as far as content creation goes, there's definitely a lean towards male mc in the west.

In Japan it's mostly light novels and manga for teenagers that have the bland, featureless self-insert surrounded by a beautiful harem of pretty guys/girls. In stuff for adults they tend to cut out the middleman and just voyeuristically observe pretty young people.
It's probably to do with Japan's culture downplaying the ego and fetishizing the pure ideal from afar or something.
