Are Spiderman games cursed?

One would think, taking into consideration how popular that franchise is and how much porn you can make out of it (even using real porn with Twine and that stuff), that someone had already made some game about it. However, as I searched for them, I found all the projects were dead and not really that far into production. Is the looming threat of the mouse that strong? or it is just a strange coincidence? Are there Spiderman games that are still active but I couldn't find?

Coincidence. Bad development and devs giving up are not uncommon, it doesn't have to be for spiderman many things gets throwen to garbage half way through. Game dev, is not easy. And sometimes pressure from people gets the best out of even most talantive people.

I've often wondered the same thing. I'd kill to have a proper canonical version of peter parker fucking aunt marisa tomei, or a basic back to future momcest setup. but not only are there surprisingly few attempts (games OR comics) but also they're always ruined by twisting it into something completely different.

I'm thinking they might be the kind of ideas that draw even more impulsive people than 'original' trope stories.

in the end though the solution is as usual: we need to make it ourself if we ever wanna see it.

i think DC characters getting nsfw games are more likely than marvel, altho some marvel characters have appeared as cameo guests in games
