Can we do away with these stupid and unneeded "are you over 18 yes/no" questions crap. Just put your warning in a corner somewhere. You don't need to ask me about it. -- No one will come after you if you don't ask it.

It's also not universal. For most of Europe it's 16, not 18.

Wait a minute.....

Before I answer....Are you over 18?
For the sake of the argument, let's say I turn 18 tomorrow, will that work or is there a magic switch that flips at midnight to indicate that I am?

They ask it due to legal obligation.

Yeah its kinda annoying, but if i physically have to click yes im kinda pissed, most games i have played have the disclaimer then continue on its own, but when you have to click yes or no gets annoying

It's not just porn games and it could be worse, they could use steams method or the older method where games made you answer questions to prove how old you were.

It also doesn't have to be "universal" (global), 18 is the safest bet when dev's have no control over who downloads their games or where the downloader lives. Always try look at the bigger picture it can save a lot of time and effort.

Amen brother! I can't stand how these arrogant sissy, soy boy cucks who call themselves developers keep filling their games with inconveniences. Warning labels? Grinding? NTR? "Romance?" This shit is getting absolutely ridiculous. Honestly, I'm getting fucking fed up with all these hypocritical bastards putting all those gaw-dam choices in the game. Seriously bro, what's up with that? I'm only here to jerk off to some porn, not click my fucking mouse.

Get a grip developers.

Imagine being bothered by some quick confirmation popup.:coffee:
It is insane tho. Once you're unleashed from your daddys leash and get to use internet on your own on your private pc theres like few years before you hit 18, and FOR THE REST OF TIME you exist on this plane at above 18y od age you must verify your age while under 18 still can click "yes" so its pointless in those cases too.

Its a bit like the cookies popup. It doesnt change anything, you wont stop using a site because of it but FOR THE REST OF TIME you must click yes to cookies. In general this is a sign that something somewhere went horribly wrong and we need to hope for a nuclear holocaust that ends humanity and we can start over.

Fyi you can install extension to get rid of it forever, a must have for any frequent Steam user.:coffee:
FOR THE REST OF TIME
Well, it's only going to be 'for the rest of time' for people who don't know how to get rid of inconveniences.
But tbh in these games you usually only have to click it once, so it's no biggie.:coffee:

I guess It is annoying that you open same game on same PC and it still asks you "Are you 18+?". Dev's should use some persistent to enable or disable. If once it is selected "I'm 18+" than on that PC it shouldn't ask again.

Eh, I don't mind it, except when the disclaimer forces me to read and click a specific button somewhere in the middle of the text. I remember a game had that, but I don't remember which.

Said disclaimer, "prove you're adult" stuff, is infuriating when it lasts as long as typical big games' preload/logo showcase.

Another thing that grinds my gears are games that don't immediately close when you alt-f4 or click exit. Now that should be considered a crime.

Yes it's stupid we all know that but they have to do it to cover their asses from getting sued.
