There are too many interests and agendas in play for them to even consider the popular opinion. I reckon this will be a threshold moment which we'll remember with loathing down the line. The internet is too big, too profitable and too efficient in controlling the masses for it to truly remain free.

Passing this article just before the European elections was a dumb as fuck idea. I'm highly Euro-skeptic, but not 'anti-EU' as a whole. I wouldn't shed a tear if the whole thing came crashing down, but as long as it's there, let's make the best of it, that's my view anyway.

That said.. by being so incredibly fucking dense as to pass this despite one of the biggest popular protests, the EP basically hands actual anti-EU parties the keys to EU-pocalypse. Assuming of course that every single lovely basement dweller who protests loudly online actually shows up when the voting starts. It is worth it, just listen to Bane, and substitute Gotham for Europe:

Ask how the Britts feel about have to buy a porn pass to get on adult sites, lol. Silly laws many places. I blame the Swedes for pushing the wrong button and voting yes when they meant to vote no :p

Oh and lets put a giant bonfire under the ass of USA as well in regard of the whole "lets abandon net neutrality" while we at it.
