Job Description:
I'm looking for a programmer and/or writer to assist me in the creation of a Visual Novel! There's a lot of progress on this project already that I worked on with a separate team, where everybody eventually gave up, which seems quite common in these projects (No hard feelings, life happens to everybody.) We have a pretty massive lead on writing, with characters designed, backgrounds finished, and a couple animated scenes completed! I'm willing to rethink story elements and discuss ideas- but what we had was pretty expansive, and I do think that the premise of the game was quite worthwhile.
This was the elevator pitch:
The game will be a semi-open world game about the MC (A repair guy on a military space cruiser thing) and his partner crash landing on a planet, and finding a way off of it. This will be by building a ship, and doing many tasks from different people to get different parts and materials. Through this, Mc meets a lot of women and each have their own stories and backstories, some are small and only have a scene or two, some are massive and they become main characters in the overarching plot. We plan on this project to be a quite massive game, releasing updates to stories as we go along. This game will also have increased quality than a lot of others, focusing more on art driven actions and dialogue driven stories, as well as some fully animated sequences.
Additional comments:
I really need someone who can do their part, I found myself doing a LOT of the coding myself- and I'm someone with no coding background whatsoever. There's a lot I'd love to do with this, so I think it would be wise to go with an engine more powerful than renpy, that way we can have mini-games and such. I'm absolutely willing to help with writing and want to have an equal part with you in coming up with story beats. As I mentioned, a lot was mapped out but I absolutely want to discuss it with you before anything is set in stone. I want someone who can actually take the art I create and put it in game, and tell me if something is needed that I didn't do, or shift my focus somewhere else.
As for kinks in this game, it will be somewhat vanilla. There's not going to be furry characters or bi MC stuff, but we might have a dom character with an optional submissive path.
