Ren'Py - Attack on Survey Corps [v0.28.0] [AstroNut]

This could be a really good game if the dev could make up their mind on how they want the MC to be. I actually really liked where this started and the parody of AOT, however, just like in many other games the MC just drags this game down. I feel like the devs don't know if he's a good guy or bad guy MC. If a person is willing to sneak up to girls while they're sleeping and molest them he sure as hell wouldn't care about whether or not they were ready to get fucked. Also, the constant "are you sure?", "We can stop if you want", "you don't have to" is so irritating and just used to drag out the plot. There's a difference between slow burn and padding out the length of a game. Despite being willing to touch a girl in her sleep the MC is the biggest pussy and it makes no sense the others are attracted to him. In the actual few instances where you can make him take control, he immediately backtracks and apologizes for doing so and promises to never do it again. It makes no sense. Also there are times where options are presented just to have the MC say no I can't do that. What was the point of that? Just saying that you're an asshole taking advantage of people doesn't make you an asshole taking advantage of people. I don't mind playing nice guy MCs and having a straight up romance, but then the MC needs to follow that path and shouldn't be touching girls in their sleep. If the MC is molesting them in their sleep he would have no problems cumming inside them even if they don't want him to, fucking them in their sleep, and being more dominant and forceful. I always think a MC can make or break a game and this one takes what could be a 4 or 5 star game and drags it down to a 2. If the goal is to make the MC a nice guy then it should still be toned down with all the questions and turning down sex. You don't have to constantly ask for consent during sex. This isn't real life we can get away with just asking once and assuming that the girls wants to do everything she is doing. Also the dialogue is weird as even after having sex the MC still exclaims that he's finally feeling a pussy for the first time when having sex again later. Promising game that is dragged down by a pussy, flip-floppy, non-sensical MC.

As a big Attack on Titan fan, I was beyond excited to dive into this game, and it didn't disappoint. The character models, art, and animations were on point, perfectly capturing the essence of the original anime while adding a sexy twist. I especially loved Annie and Mikasa and the new path for Christa and Ymir. Their portrayals were brilliantly done, staying true to their characters and adding an extra layer of excitement to the game. I hope that future updates will bring even more content featuring them. All in all, Attack on Survey Corps exceeded my expectations, and kudos to the devs for creating such a captivating and enjoyable parody adventure!

Attack on Survey Corps [v0.13.0 Beta]

Gameplay:
Gameplay basically consists of you looking at the questlog and you're going from A to B at a specific time of day to unlock scenes.
There´s also a minigame where you have to click the arrow buttons while a timer is running out in training games and in some scenes, so you don´t get caught by the girls. It doesn´t feel that interesting or intuitive.
You don´t have to do minigames that often, but having that on top of the basic sandbox mechanics makes the gameplay feel a bit tedious and grindy.

Visuals:
The visuals look pretty good, but the models can look very inconsistent from scene to scene and in the questlog.
Sex Scenes look pretty good though, but it takes a long time to get to the good scenes and not every girl has those yet.

Story:
There´s not much of a Story to speak of here. You for whatever reason are allowed to sleep at the girl's dorm.
You can molest the girls while they sleep and corrupt them to the point of them liking you and creating a sexual relationship with them, which takes quite some time.
Some story arcs don´t make much sense and are not build that well, like you not wanting to perv on your sister to molesting your sister in her sleep and creating a common sexual interest without much of a buildup.
But even there you don´t see a sex scene yet, but more vanilla stuff.

Conclusion:
I think this game, while having it´s issues, is still pretty good. But it could’ve been so much better if you get the pacing right and not have meaningless filler and instead somewhat meaningful story arcs. I still will follow the game's progress and see how the character arcs will continue.

Fap-able, despite the slow start.

Good amount of content at this point (v0.12.2). Played it for 3+ hours and I have yet to finish it.

The art is inconsistent at times but the h-scenes are mostly well drawn.

There are some grammatical errors and Mikasa felt a bit out of character, but these can be overlooked.

No major spoilers if you've watched season 1.

This is a good, fap-able game. You'll like it if you've watched AoT.

Art is a mix of excellent and meh. Gameplays' a bit boring but writing is generally pretty solid. 'Combat' is pretty bad though: no SFX or bgm, slow 'animations' for every action, timer for inputs is a little shorter than comfortable for a porn game (and it might be the same time req regardless of input length), and for some reason the first 1/3 to 1/2 of the timer bar sometiems noregs the first few input, wasting time and potentially failing the input combo. 3.5 but I'll round up to 4 for now.

This game surprised me. The synopsis and example pictures do not to it justice.

Amazing game with a lot of horny content. The writing is quite good and the characters make sense. I applaud the author for including some more taboo fetishes and not being afraid to go into some a bit more in depth.
Two things I'd personaly add are the ability to ping the current path/quest on the main screen so you don't need to open the notebook after every other encounter, and improve the variability of the different female character's "intimate places", for example, a bit more distinctive labia size for each girl, some pubic hair, color and such. But that's quite a minor nitpick and I know some people wouldn't agree/care. 10/10

EDIT:
Since it seems now that the night scenes are most likely never coming back and new ones won't be made, I'm lowering the rating from 5 to 2 (and yes, I'm salty about the tag baiting me every update).

Good game, good story, good parody
The characters are well written, the interface is simple and clear, you won’t get lost anywhere, you can work a little on the animation and scenes in general, but this is not so important, I put 4.5 out of 5

Amazing. This game is a 10/10 for me, it has a great story, a good cast of girls, good art and is in the AoT universe. What more could you ask for?! I recommended everyone at least try this game. One of the best on this site.

I remember checking out this game back in 2021 while there wasn't much content. That has changed now. Attack on survey corps has matured into way better game with tons of great art. Obviously the story and characters are excellent since it's a parody of a great show. The game has some confusing bugs that made me stuck for some time but I managed to get through them.
Overall I've played for few hours and enjoyed it.
It's best SNK parody so definitely recommend it to all fans.

Attack on Survey Corps has it's ups and down. I'd argue it's mostly ups and while it does fail in some regards, overall, it was a very pleasent experience with a lot of hot action and simple gameplay.

Story: 4/5 : The story here is simple. You basically have the same backstory as Eren and Mikasa and you're an OC character along with your sister inserted into the anime at the time of the beginning of training with the military corps. You have a conversation with Eren and Mikasa the night you get there. Jean gets jealous/angry at you and kicks you out your room. Now you gotta stay with your sister and the other gals in the female dorm and the sexy/corrupt time begins. It's not awe inspiring and it's not going to make you cry, but it's simple and quick to set up what we want. On top of that the English is great and it's not the crap that 99% of ren'py games on here are.

Art: 4/5 : The art would be a 5/5 if it wasn't held back by one thing: consistency. I think it's obvious that the creator is freelancing to multiple artists. A lot of the main art is nice but sometimes the sexy art is just a different style or slightly "amateurish". That's not really an awful thing because most games like this is just stolen art that is wildy inconsistent. Thought was put into the art to make it appealing, as close to the characters as it can get, and be original. I think that deserves praise and reward for these types of games that are usually just blatant ads for a patreon.

Characters: 5/5: Our beautiful crew of characters are characters you already know. They have established personalities and the author has taken the liberty to play up or play down some traits. That's fine as long as it makes sense when to do it and it does. Your character is a loving/corrupting kind of guy. There's no anger or hatred and everything is consensual for the most part (outside of the instructor blackmailing you for sex). That being said the best thing about these games is the corruption. You get to read and see the characters that love one another fall for you instead, they're insecure and unsure, but sooner or later. You always get the girl. And that kind of writing and development is what makes games like these hot. It works a lot like Jikage Rising and if you like that game. You're gonna like this one.

Gameplay: 5/5: It's a ren'py game. It's not going to be some gaming masterpiece. It's a simple puzzleish game where you meet the girls, follow along their story, and meet them in other places. So how do you rate this gameplay? Simple. You rate it by how much bullshit it takes to get to the sexy times. Luckily, the creator has a few braincells to rub and as done multiple things to make it as painless as possible. There is infinite skipping, there is a journal and tells you exactly when and where you need to be to advance and how to advance, there is a gallery, and there is a point system that can be seen visually. He's made it entirely possible for you to skip everything. There is no traditional "grinding". Just story events.


Overall rating: 5/5. This game is fantastic. It has everything you want in a parody ren'py game. You have a coherent story with good writing, you have stupid easy gameplay with a built in guide, you have a hot af corruption/lover story where you get to go through each characters first times with sexy times. The only thing bad about this game is the inconsistent art and the art not being "100 percent" accurate to the characters. That pisses some people off, but I am more than willing to overlook it when the creator has obviously put in time and effort to make this game great.

I am honestly and sincerely giving this 5 stars. Is it because everything is so perfect that it has no flaws? No, it has plenty.

The reason that I am giving it 5 stars is because honestly it surprised me. When i first saw this game i rolled my eyes and passed over it thinking "Oh God, here we go with the AoT parody". Recently i was reading the forums and a review about the game that was pretty interesting so i thought "why not, how bad could it be?" and booted up the game. Here is what i discovered:

The imperfections in the artwork, the flaws in the drawing, they dont make the game worse. in fact i would argue that it gives the game its own unique flair and works well with the "cartoony" aspect. I respect people's right to think that the artwork is "bad" but I also think that there are many people who are too critical on it just because AoT is like "thier thing" in which case, they would be near impossible to please anyway. Perhaps the reason that the "imperfect" artwork bothers me not is because i dont have any particular affection for the AoT world in general.

The story is just right for a sandbox. Normally i do not enjoy sandboxes, as they are tedius to figure out where to be and when to trigger any event. The dev has done a nice job in organizing the girls and events into a guide book that makes that simpler and more straight forward. The relationships with the girls happen fairly naturally, given the AoT world they are in, although sleeping with a girl in the girls dorms in the same room with other girls you occasionally sleep with and nobody saying anything raises an eyebrow.

All in all i was very pleasently surprised. The game gives you a way to improve yourself through training, make the girls happy, and offers a "love route" for all: even Mikasa. I hope that the dev keeps going in this path, and i wish him luck in his endevors. I might even jump over there and sub.

UPDATED V015.0:
Annie's path is just old already. The MC is so easily manipulated by .. well .. anyone with tits. After replaying through the whole game from the beginning I have concluded the that MC has the hormones of a 13 year old boy on crack. He will literally do anything, and take any kind of humiliation, use any excuse, just to see, feel, or grope.

No matter how much "training" you do, or classes you attend, you are always smashing into trees because you cant take your eyes off a girls ass. Yes, its that cringe in spots. Arc 2 just kind of "resets" several of the girl arcs, making you redo or restart your progress with them, and introduces a new stat system that you need to grind out. Its not bad, it can just be a bit frustrating as you think "Pretty sure we were already past this point with this girl".

Anyway, everything in my original review still holds true, the new changes just shifted it ... sideways.. for lack of a better word.

Oh and one more thing, if the dev reads this: stop sticking "Ha-Ha" at the end of 90% of your dialogue. Theres a few situations where you can use it fine, but most of the time it makes light of situations that shouldnt be ... that funny.

Art is very inconsistent both in quality and in character designs, sometimes the art is bad, sometimes it's quite good, sometimes the characters barely resemble the characters from the animanga, other times they actually do look like them etc.
The gameplay is very tedious, there are a lot of locations, multiple times of the day, but in vast majority of cases nothing is happening anywhere, making it a chore to advance further.
The mc and his sister are just walmart versions of Eren and Mikasa, their backstory is just copied backstory of EM with a few minor changes, mc also heavily resembles Eren both in design and in character.
So basically the only reason why the mc isn't Eren is because the devs wanted to add incest to the game, even tho there are ways to add it with the canon characters. And the result of it is that relationships between mc and girls feel bland and forced, and for example instead of having a wholesome relationship with Mikasa you got sad ntr slave trainer bullshit.
Existance of other original characters like the instructor is also a joke considering that there are canon girls who aren't even in the game or severly lack in content.
The general story is pretty basic and uninteresting, if there even is one.
So overall very disappointing and I don't see high chances of improvement, which sucks cuz aot is probably my favorite anime.

Art could us a bit on an upgrade.
Story is kinda dull and very linear at the moment but overall the game has what it takes.
It's not perfect by any means of imagination but it's good for a playthrough.

Great take on the series. Maybe 5 stars is too good of a review but at the moment, there is no better alternative/competition so it's a given that this will be top tier. If this goes on to be a completed game and not abandoned, it will be in one of my favorites. ButI do have a bias to AoT in general.

Good graphic. Character models are great. Im waiting for new updates definitely! Characters are recognisable and drawn very well. Not so much about the story, but maybe it will change. Still too little content, but it no so bad after all.

Too much grind for absolutely nothing, art is good i'll give that, but the rest is just not there. The whole game feels like a ''groping / jerking off to sleeping girls'' simulator, and when you think something real is gonna happen, another groping or jerking off. Sorry but as much as like the AoT and admire the art, at this rate i wouldn't recommend to anyone. Two stars simply because drawings are good, otherwise i would go with only one.

Great game inspired by SnK franchise, quality dialogues and immersive setting, can't wait to see more of it, all story arcs are interesting and scenes are quite well drawn so keep up the good work !

I wasn't expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised, the "story" of the characters follows the characterization of the characters quite well. The introduction of a sister for the incest side (even if Mikasa does the work) and of a female instructor (instead of the good old bald guy from the manga) is pretty cool.
PS: support Mikasa who even in a game is getting rejected by Eren.
4/5 until the end of the game .
