VN - Ren'Py - Abandoned - Aurora Origin [v0.4.9] [MANTIX]

This game is super entertaining! Besides that I have no idea what is going on these characters called whispers just randomly showing up with zero explanation. It sounds like this is a continuation of the Universe of Urban Secrets accept the DEV should at least explain what the heck a whisper is, or at least give the option of a recap for new players. Never assume someone played the previous game. If the story is in same Universe but completely unrelated plot wise explain the characters!

I had no idea what was going on. The graphics are great accept the story sort of jumps from one thing to another haphazardly which i'm guessing is because the DEV figured you played the last game? If you're looking for some entertaining laughs and a quick fap this is the game for you. If you want some semblance of a understandable linear plot I would look elsewhere.

However I think the DEV wanted the game to be random and wild intentionally which is why I'm leaving it at 5 stars for good sex scenes and entertaining circumstances. But please explain what is going on I was so confused on what I was even doing it was definitely a trip. Lol can't wait for the future update though

Great game, beautiful renders, the babes are among the hottest I've ever seen and interesting story.
Sometimes scenes and dialogs are too long and not going anywhere, the renders of the girl lap dancing in the jungle were very slow to load.
It's also very short, I hope there's going to be a continuation.

I was bored, was looking for a game to shit on as most people on this forum does. Then saw this one, started reading reviews and grabbed my torch. While reading negative reviews, ignited my torch, I was ready to burn this game so hard. How dare the dev make a shitty game like this, shame on him/her!!! Started playing this disgrace of a game...

But, but... This game is actually fun, not just a VN, a weird game (in good way). Beautiful renders, attractive characters, a mystery story, juvenile humour but still manages to give some chuckles to me here and there. There's clearly a great effort and attention to detail even if you like it or not. I was really surprised, I think this must be one of the most underrated gems in this forum.

Game is not taking itself seriously, it has a light-hearted story with good enough writing, goofy (but hot) characters and an engaging mystery. Gameplay is fun, I actually enjoyed the "Suitcase" and its failed and successful experiments. About the bug minigame, unless you have a physical disability, everything is easy and dev already give you the option to skip.

Sound and voice effects are fun too, nothing annoying for me so far, no voice over, just some little effects for character situations. If you don't like it, just disable from settings.

I wish we had more control over the choices and gameplay instead of some fake choices and railroaded events.

I quite enjoyed this gem and looking forward to more content.

gr8 on the dev for allowing you to at least skip 2 mini games
poor on the dev for not allowing you to skip all the mini games
dont expect to jus hold 'control' to skip through everything
the pauses make it feel hella clunky

I have no idea what this "story" is supposed to be about. Its like i'm playing as the side character in my own story. Goood renders is not the only thing needed for a game , especially if you want it to be good. If the righting and scenario events don't make any sense then you might want to redo it. How can you expect anyone to get into the "story" if the majority of the time is spent inside the MC's head with people who so far have no relation to the mc. The scenes also last waaay too long for no reason. If it doesn't involve the mc, or add to the plot in a meaningful way, the scene should not be unskipable and too long. The rest of the updates should take more time to come out in order to make larger updates tha hopefully create and build upon the relationships the mc has with the other characters. It's to early shift away from the mc to long drawn out scenes that don't include him.

Disappointing, that is the best word to describe the game. The beginning of the story made me think that I would live the story of the next great adventurer in his early career, facing challenges, overcoming difficulties and learning at every step of the journey. What I saw was a man with the mentality of a 12 year old child who despite having "studied and trained" to be able to accompany his father on the journey is actually useless, cowardly and imbecile. The mini-games are horrible, you need to click repeatedly or press the random keys just to give a sense of challenge, as the totally linear story does not give you any freedom. There is no choice in the game, everything that is important will happen regardless of what you choose, the plot goes in one direction and the 2 or 3 options that appear only serve to deceive the player giving him the feeling that he has some control, but it does not.

It is a bit weird of a game but it does not deserve the bad ratings
it is a slow burn at first but it definitely picks up and becomes very interesting to say the least .
The girls are hot and the sex and lewd scenes are well animated
and definitely worth your time .

So this is a very weird situation. The thing is that i end up playing this game with not so high hopes based on reviews and i must recognize that the game kind of starts slow and very very weird. But once i ve advanced a bit and keep playing it i really enjoyed the game and i think it is a great game.

I ve enjoyed very much although it is a weird mix between survival, fantasy and super powers and that for sure could make people think wtf am i playing? but i had so much fun playing it and the story works for me.

Visually is great and sex scenes are very well done to have a good time fapping. I would like to see where this goes and recomend people to play it and give it a chance. I ve gotten surprised by this game i hope you too!

+ Game has loots of sound effect and music. Some of them good, some of them fuuny and some of them is little bit annoying but their existence is enjoyable.

Well that's pretyy odd game, its have pretty interesting humor and story to. Sadly this game is not popular and DEV not earning well enough for making more updates... Normaly i would be angry to DEV for not making updates or making updates with not enough content but i cant be angry to Mantix, while he is literaly earning nothing he still didn't abandon his game and he still makes update, unlike some DEV's which earns bunch of money but literaly sits on their lazy ass... I hope he will gain more patreon and make better updates for game with more content.

Review of v0.4.4

To the positives of this VN first - the renders. They are beautiful!
All of the settings and backgrounds have been well done with a good level of detail, and the women are all gorgeous.
Aurora Origin is, for the most part, very pleasing to the eye.
The english in this VN is very good. I had no problem at all reading this. Grammar , spelling and overall sentence structure are all very good.

That's where the enjoyment of this game ends. It's all down hill from here.

Cheesy sound effects and crappy stock music are used with painful regularity, to the point that they become very annoying and you are much happier playing the VN with no sound at all.

The shaking screen visual effect is used way too often, which makes many scenes hard to watch, and the animations are nothing more than paging between a couple of stills.

The story line is by far the worst feature of this VN. although it has the potential for an interesting story, the disjointed plot is totally devoid of any continuity, coherence or sensibility.

We play an MC who is unrelentingly dim-witted, and wastes so much time with pointless rambling internal dialogues that take up way too much screen time.

Choices that are supposed to be an important part of this VN and how it plays out. All I've seen so far are choices that are at best bleedingly obvious, or at worst, non-existent because you only have one dialogue choice you can select, and it's often a stupid one.

Summing up: this developer has done some great graphics work for Aurora Origin, but the story so far is very rough, and lacks anything resembling intelligence.

Could this be the real reason the first game was abandoned due to lack of interest? Was the writing just too dumb?

One of the most underrated games on this site in my opinion. From sound effects to the humor, everything is just fantastic. Some very good animation sprinkled on top of amazing art and some of the hottest girls around as the cherry on top. Excellent!

The story is intriguing, captivating, also has many surprising elements that left me amazed. It's like I'm watching a movie with well written story. You just have to know what happens next!
Nice game with a good sense of humor! There are genuinely funny moments. It made me laugh! Great!!
Nice sounds and music into the H-scenes. It's not perfect, but it's a good.
I also like the gameplay, where you don't always have to do the same shit over and over.
I continue to be impressed with every update, as they keep getting better and better. Hopefully the creator continues the good work!

There isn't much to do the mini games are speed clicking which is frustrating as it is hardware dependant and while there is an option to skip mini games them come at a cost so a player feels "forced" to play. The mini games add NOTHING to gameplay nor the story elements. They feel artificial, boring and an annoyance. Which is nothing you want in a game.

The story is not written well it makes no sense the game seems to switch back and forth from horror to survival to supernatural genres. Which creates a boring story, that leaves the player going WTF instead of sparking our curiosity.

The animations are absolutely rubbish, couple of stills that go back and forth which was fine 5 years ago but fap games have evolved so far beyond this level that it really is better to not include them if they are so rudimentary.

The stills are good but with so many games out today high quality stills just doesn't mean the same as it use to, you need either great sex or a great story to have a decent fap game. This game has neither.

The sex... Well there isn't any. There is a dream blowjob/strip tease that is terrible as it makes no sense and doesn't even have a happy ending. And you can grope a helpless woman. That is it that is the sex of this game.

Sound effects. OMFG they are annoying as fuck. Every fucking line of dialogue as an over acted sigh, exclamation, grunt of pain, or some other BS sound made by the main character that does NOTHING to enhance the story telling and only annoys the player with its repetitive nature.

I'd give this game a 1 star but it doesn't have the oh too common BS mechanics used to hide lack of content. There is a few times you do a search the room bit in the game but most times the game is a visual novel. And while the game has locations they are limited and it is not used to get you to click on empty locations multiple times a day hoping for content. Which is so nice as so many games try to hide lack of content with BS busy work.

This games biggest killer is the writing it is so poor and there is no sex. Really what is the point of a porn game with a bad story and no sex?
