Agree on this, anybody know how you fix the lantern, accidently left it on when I found it on my first night and went to sleep and now it is useless

The smith girl should be able to "repair" your burned down lantern. She also sells candles and a recipe to make candles yourself.

Thanks for the help, I noticed that you mentioned you have done all the quests except for the merchant, could you give me any tips on how to fix the bath house? I talked to the smith girl about it and she admitted to breaking it but nobody else has any dialog for it and when I go to the fire/furnace it just says I don't know how to fix it?

Talk to the smith about it she damaged the fire pit and she'll tell you how to fix it. She gives you a hammer and you have to check the firepit again. Now you can fix it.

Then it is bugged I have the hammer equiped but I can´t fix. I´ll guess I have to start over again :/

Did you talk to the smith about the broken stove? If you have, you should be able to inspect the stove again with the option to fix. You don't need to actually bang on the bricks with the hammer.

Game seems to crash whenever I go to Alice after completing the first set of quests for the other villagers - obviously there is still work to do to keep the game stable

You'll need the quest to fix the nets first. I think Yotra (smith) gives it to you after some resource gathering quests.
You'll need 3x nettle and her workbench in her house (Right next to the smithy.)
She should also give you the recipe for nettle thread.
The recipe is a bit misleading, mentioning a third part of nettle (Leaves, Stems and something not existing).
Just place 3 nettle stems on the crafting menu and work it with the hand tool. This creates a ball of yarn.
Next place the broken net and the yarn into the crafting menu and use the needle tool. (Check order of items in recipe!)

I did indeed. But wont work either. Did a resatrt and everything worked as it should.
