You have to go to the library and ask for the second book there. A little bit after that the player wants to talk with Karl about those books.

sirgregkermit I gave her ice cream for 5-7 days, then talked to her after each gift.

Eventually you then have an option to collect her gratitude...in the bathroom.

suppose to take sarah on dates meanwhile
there being a cafe ya would think you could take her there BUT no instead ya take your friends mom ...wtf?

the date happens in the park opposite where you stumble upon the lady with the robot arm and her mechanical dog (lady to the left where the pavilion is with the info clank shes sitting on a bench, date to the right with the gazebo)
