Unreal Engine - Completed - AV Director LIFE! [v1.012] [TeamKRAMA]

Pros:

• Very committed to simulating the AV director sandbox theme, managing contracts for actors, restocking equipment and supplies for shoots, updating recording hardware etc.

Cons:

• Extremely demanding on cpu performance just to perform basic sandbox tasks.
• AV recordings in game actually take up disk space as files on your pc, with no easy way of deleting recordings in game. Not sure what TeamKRAMA was smoking when they thought this was a good idea.
• Actually simulates the realism of being a video editor, with all the tedium and mind numbing boredom involved.
• Very clunky UI despite the entire game being based around managing AVs.

First off, I don't know what it is with these Unreal engine games. But it's really a hit or miss with their FPS. I've grown so numb to terrible optimization from these types of games, that I don't even know if there's a hidden crypto-miner from the .exe or the game genuinely runs like dog water.
Wait for the steam release and see if the FPS improves

Stuck with 4 heroines. I really wish there was more variety in their 3D models. You're just stuck with 4 ladies in their 20s or early 30s with the same body thickness and maybe a breast cup increase or two. No MILFs or GILFs. Just 4 heroines of the same thickness, same height, just in different angles of the same sex positions. Meh.

What really puzzled me, and I've never seen anything like this before. The core gameplay is editing videos. The videos you edit [IN-GAME] are saved onto your computer??? In a matter of 2-3 finished 20+ second long JAVs, your game folder will be larger than the base files. Here's the kicker. Too much of these 20+ second JAVs in your game folder, and your game will freeze and crash. Took some creative people in this thread to find this out.

If you do run into any progression problems or softlocks. According to the japanese community in the development logs, there are a lot of the same problem. The game has some bugs that lock you from progressing through certain events. Such as, unlocking the pool:
You need to listen to the couple's conversation at the start of the game; otherwise, it's impossible to unlock the pool. Or maybe, you can go to the internet cafe to unlock the pool in the first 5 minutes.

I would highly recommend using a cheat engine for the money. Else you'd be stuck grinding money, clearing your in-game debt, and not focusing on the real gameplay. That is, being the sandbox JAV sim that it advertises as.

As the other commenter said, really unintuitive, and if you don't know how to play, you end up not having enough money for anything by the time things click.

However, 5 star because after figuring it out, I started a new game and wow it's actually great.

A few tips:
-I didn't buy the first smartphone because "I already have one". Don't do this, buying the second one doubles your battery capacity and let's you put in some POV shots (I actually am not sure if POV is available before, I hadn't tried). Focus on jobs the first week to get this, makes AV money come faster.
-Make sure every clip is above 20 seconds otherwise it is not counted.
-Always use every bit of stamina remaining on dates or editing. Never end a day by getting knocked out.
-Buy the camera upgrade asap. If you did things right, you should get it fast.
-You have to make so much more money than the debt, if you're only covering debt, you're fucked.
-Remember where the stamina buffs are (table to the right of Rem, drinks at the internet cafe, drinks at the love hotel...), and get them at every opportunity.

Between my 2 play throughs:
1st try: on day 21, bankrupt with no money and no upgrades; failed the 100k debt by 10k.
2nd try: day 15 with fat stacks (200k weekly sales for the 100k debt). And way better stats on Nodoka (all gifts purchased), a 10k cam & a 50k cam.

With those tips this game is great (up until the point that I have played it).

The game is hard to learn and is pretty unintuitive if you hate learning new things and experimenting this game is not for you but if you like playing a game that features long term progress with great animation and chr development its a superb time

The way the game works is pretty unintuitive. And the fact the important parts are "explained" after the act doesn't help.

You have to film a situation with actors, positions, costumes, lighting, cameras, etc...

During the scene, you can move the camera, change the position and the speed to increase pleasure and reach climax.

Once you are done with your cuts, you enter editing, and that's where the core of the game is.

Editing is a puzzle game. And it's very important that your cuts should be over 20sec otherwise they won't be taken into account.

Each cut of a similar action/pose/climax/whatever will give you a special badge. The more special badges you collect, the better the video will fare on the market and the more money you will make.

Now, let's get into the meat of the game. Is it fun?

Fuck no, it's as boring as 99% of av directors game out there, you just watch some animations with 0 variation and interactivity. The editing is just a chore, and...

FUCKING CHERRY ON TOP THE RECORDING EDITING AND SELLING VIDEOS YOU MAKE ARE STORED ON YOUR COMPUTER!!!!!!!!!!


And they are fucking heavy. Two recording sessions, editing, selling and you're already twice the size of the game, fuck no.

Decent AV Director simulator

Pros:
- Good graphics
- Voiced
- Nice sandbox elements

Cons:
- You play as AV Director and have to do the montage
- Characters are boring

It's really nice 3D sandbox game but the role of porn maker might not be suitable for everyone.
