VN - Ren'Py - Away from Home [Ep.1-27] [vatosgames]

This is one of my top favorite games under the Incest tag. While I will admit the overall story is a little thin, I enjoy all the stories of the different women the MC is with. I really like how all of the housewives/MILFs have their own different issues with their husbands that give them reason to seek intimacy with the MC. I enjoy the different attitudes and ways to cuck the other men in the game.

My review of the game by certain chapter.

Chapter 1 I don't like how certain sex scenes are forced. Like I want to end things with landlady. Chloe's sex scene is alright, and I can stop her mom's romance path. Lastly, I don't like how you have a choice to end Nora's romance, but it doesn't... continuation in another chapter.

Chapter 2 I love to continue sex scene's with Chloe, I'm fine with continuing it but the worse part is saying you fake love Lily... You tell Lily it's just sex with Chloe, but then say you are dating.

Chapter 10 At the end of the day choices don't matter, I ended up getting a handjob from Nora, even though I choice to not have a relationship with her. The choices in this game are an illusion after seeing this. I'm not going to continue after this chapter, but you should get the gist of it after reading all the above.

This is a ok-ay game, I guess... I will continue it though.

I've played through over 170 VNs and compared with many out there, I could only give this a 3-star.

+ Lots of scenes. Not all sex scenes, but great use of highlighting bikini clad models and changing room events.

> More of a linear story VN versus anything where choices matter.

-- I really disliked how characters like Lily in the same scene goes from first kiss ever to all-out sex in three-seconds flat. It made no sense. Sorry for the spoiler, but that shows this VN misses so many build-up/foreplay, corruption, and/or erotic opportunities; instead we get generic porn scenarios. The same goes for most of the MILFs in this story = "Hi my name is <MC>", "Oh, great, fuck me in the back hallway because my husband doesn't show me any attention."

+ The animations at times seem to get better as the chapters progress. At least there are some basic animations from the beginning.

-- Writing is pretty bad...generic porn level scenarios with every MILF being in an unloved relationship or no relationship and each has 'needs' that only our young MC can meet. Also, the 'bad guy' story is okay and very much in the background as a side quest that shows up infrequently.

OVERALL:
I don't know understand some of the 5-star ratings. But I guess if you've not played that many VNs then this may seem awesome. I tried this back in the day when only a handful of chapters were out and liked it enough then (before I experienced many more VNs) that I had it on my, Try Again, list. You may find some entertainment here.

Has a variety of characters to romance with different perosnalities.
Gives the player a choice of who to romance, story is reasonable, PLent of stealiong lovers of other men in the game. The games of graphics are good, creator seems to focus on adding another piece to th egame for every update

Great content! Great animation, this is super fun to play and story development is top notch with and a lot of variety of options and action as well, so the story is not bland. Love and can't wait to see what updates have in store

I would say this is a great porn game but a very mediocre adult VN. If what you want is lots of nicely rendered sex scenes, then this is for you. If you want a good story with interesting, deep and realistic characters and interactions, then nah. It kinda feels like the story is there just because it is needed and the main purpose of the game is just having sex. I have to be fair and admit I didn't play all the chapters properly but at least up to the 11th-12th ones, what I said applies. The MC is an immature sex machine who cannot see a bit of exposed skin on a womans body without going crazy and wanting to fuck their brains out. Are men seriously like that in real life?

It's basically just a mindless fuckfest. Does it have some qualities? Yes. But it's really just for people who are interested in MILFs, incest, and infidelity, and doesn't appear to have any emotional depth. Just forbidden fucking. And you are unable to say "no" to sex.
You are forced to fuck your landlady/aunt, maid/mother, and some random girl who's friends with your cousin. It's weird; the game is written to almost work without the incest patch. But not quite.
The character models aren’t very good; they don’t look very realistic. Perhaps in part because of that, the sex scenes fall flat for me, even though they all offer first person views. Either way, they’re a minus, but far from the worst I’ve ever seen. And the sex scene writing is, to my taste, quite poor. And the sex scene music is quite unerotic.
But that isn’t my main problem. There are two:
The first is a lack of choices. If you don’t want to fuck your aunt and mother, whether because you’re against incest but the plot doesn’t quite make sense without it, or because you don’t find them attractive, or because you want to roleplay as someone who isn’t a homewrecker, there’s no way out.
But my larger problem with this game is the lack of emotion, other than lust.
I like fucking, but when I want to see fucking with absolutely no emotion, I'll watch porn videos. I play these games for more than that, as I suspect do most of you. And the description of the game is "You'll reunite with your old friends after 12 years and encounter new people while trying to find out why did your father send you away from home," not "you'll go away from home and get the chance to fuck everyone." If it had been the latter, I wouldn’t have as much of a problem with it. But the actual description just isn’t what it’s about.
There is some stuff about the father and plot and stuff, but it’s a small portion of the game, and isn’t well done. The protagonist bumbles through everything, and would almost certainly get caught and killed within a day. Spoiler alert: he doesn’t.
A question I ask myself, when reviewing, is "what do I know about the girls, outside of their sexuality?":
Just about the only thing you know about the girls is that they want to fuck you.
Just about only things you know about the MILFs are: that they have problems with their husbands, and that they want to fuck you.
So, if you want a mindless incest, milf, infidelity fuckfest, and you like the character models, you might like this. Otherwise, I highly doubt it.

I don't understand the positive reviews.

The game has almost 5 stars, I thought it would be really good with an interesting story and relationships that build over time, but in the end you launch the game and you realize it's a fuckfest with a story that has nothing interesting, etc.

If the story isn't important to you, give it a try, but if you want something good, I'd advise you to try something else.

Great game with very good looking models. Almost everyone looks like a bbl demon so if you are into it - it's a no-brainer. No grinding or moving around too. It's basically a VN where you have to choose the correct option to score

Had high hopes for this one, but in the end I felt a bit let-down.

The models are nice, if not a bit overly curvy, but still very appealing. The 'animations' are a bit basic, though, and to be honest the whole dialogue reads like it was written by a kid who hasn't gone past the 'holding hand' stage. Everything is rushed and, well, corny. The mafia plot is suspended fully in the air by pure disbelief, and all of it together just had me wanting to skip through the dialogue to see the next 'scene'. That's always when I check out of a game.

Believe it or not, I DO want my smut to have a good story.

The women are probably the best I've seen.
The pictures alone make me want to play.
The sex scenes are amazing.
The story is excellent.
I think you should definitely play this game, it really did a good job.

I've been playing this one since chapter 10 or so and I have to say this is one of my more enjoyable VNs.

Animations are absolutely on par with some of the newer VNs and it's extremely smooth to watch. Even the story isn't half bad. Very worthy of the high score it's been getting. However, as with everything it's got some flaws...minor, but noticable to me.

The faces of the females are way too similar. They all look good and the renders are fantastic but Nora and Susan are practically the same face with different hair and body. Lydia looks like a teenage Eva. Even Julia and Rebecca have similar facial features as some of the others. It almost seems to me that the Dev bought 1 or 2 different faces and tweaked each one to make it JUST different enough....I seen so many other VNs with women that are each unique that it kind of makes it easy enough to spot similar faces and it boggles me a little when all their males characters are so diverse.

Also, not too major if you're into it but My God.......SO......MANY.....ASS......Shots. Like I said, I like Asses but I like faces and titties and pussies and legs and hair and other things too. And I also mean during sex scenes. We get it, you like asses. This VN has Numerous sex scenes, 9 out of every 10 is an ass shot from behind and nothing else. Throw some diversity in there. we get small tidbits of titties and faces here and there and they've improved some in the later game but.....Geez, my kingdom for some frontal or overhead shots. If this was a Porn Movie, i'd call the director for some BS on the direction of some his shots.....

Other than those small gripes this is still a game to really check out asnd I hope the Dev isn't done making more of these VNs

Wow, I'm really enjoying Away from Home ! The story has me hooked, especially because the characters are so interesting. All the girls are definitely standouts, they are gorgeous.

The visuals are also impressive. The character models are beautiful, and the environments are well-designed. The animation is smooth and adds to the overall experience.

Overall, this is a fantastic game! It easily gets a 10 out of 10 from me haha. The characters are engaging, the story is interesting, and the visuals are top-notch. Definitely worth checking out!

Its alright if you dialogue skip through the whole thing, but if you want any kind of interesting story / character development stay away from this.

This game is my favorite game in the incest genre. The content and story are good, the graphics are beautiful, the scenes are good, the animations are good. But it would be great if there was more seduction for the female. There should be better kissing And the scenes of foreplay all over the body, whether it's the neck, earlobes, lovemaking, or back. As for the voice, it would be great if it could be added, but it's okay if it's not.

I have no issues with AAA games, no issues with other renpy games, so the lag isn't on my side.

I just don't like forced fucking when it should not be a kinetic but you 'choices' truly don't matter. It might be your cup of tea if you like cucking your uncle and dad, being a cheater and don't think about anything else but sticking your cock in anything that has boobs.

Mindless netori fuckfest ... but not a very good one. For starters, the sex scenes are repetitive. Yes, it´s partly because there are dozens of them, but mostly the setting, actions and worse of all dialogue repeats itself. There is very little to make the scenes spicy through something more creative than cliche repetitive exposure.

Fucking a wife who´s massaging her husband´s back is cool for the first time ... for the fourth time, not so much. There is almost zero meaningful interaction with the husbands, and they have zero personality, meaning you might be fucking a wife of someone else, but it could be the same person, or a robot, it´s all the same.

The only slight exception is the son/old time friend, but he is little beyond shy and broken, so "cucking " him didn´t feel satisfying to me, personally. There was zero tension in those scenes, so unless this is a specific kink of yours, not much there. The exaggerated setup of those scenes didn´t help either, felt like a hardcore porn screenplay at times.

Oh and the LIs are just sooo fucking boring. Yes, they do have different personalities (well, for the most part), but all of them are just shallow bimbos. I don´t mind fucking bimbos, but there has to be something else to catch my attention there - not the case here. The slight exception is the "maid," who is the typical mother from every other run of the mill AVN ... until she turns into yet another bimbo. Splendid.

There is very little pushback from anybody else, you don´t feel like you are breaking some taboo, they are just eager to jump on your dick the the second they see you, with zero self control. How is that exciting? It isn´t. Look at In a Scent - LI with self control and consciousness. A husband with plenty of personality, who is an integral part of the story/family dynamics. That´s how it´s fucking done.
