The lack of empathy of creators towards their own creations makes them free of developing and writing stories that can't affect them in any level, neither emotionally nor psychologically. They see them as nothing more than a thing, they can't or won't picture themselves as the "affected" ones because nothing of this is real and there's no real reason to force yourself to be in the shoes of the non-existent cucked ones.
This also happens with the consumers, in which case they see themselves as the guy stealing the hot woman for themselves, because again: Why would they want to be in the shoes of the affected?

This forgets the sage advice that the creator of DOOM gave us. Plot in a videogame, much like plot in a porno is nice, but that's not what we're here for. What we're here for is a good "experience". Watching a guy cry and whine and take injustice like a bitch is not a good experience imho, but it is certainly something different for a jaded deviant. Seriously, too much of the genre stars a caricature of a MC whose entire purpose is to be a punching bag to self-insert as. I get what you describe out of the perfectly sufficient cheating tag, but NTR is undeniably for the masochist chasing a new high.
It'd be so much easier to ignore it if the perspective wasn't almost entirely from the guy getting cucked, or if they didn't hamfist his sorrows at every opportunity. Either way, I'm not so heartless as to not pity the fictional loser.
You know what would be nice? NTR'ing a Lesbian couple, now that would be fascinating.

I've never understood this "self-insert" stuff, but if you can't experience a story without imagining yourself as the main character, then there's always Netori. Netorare and Netori are basically the exact same to me. Just looking at the same story from two different directions. Netorase, however, is something else. And not something I have any interest in.
And regarding the Doom analogy. Sure, sometimes I'm in the mood for Doom, and sometimes not. That's why there are different genres. At other times I'm in the mood for The Last of Us, or Portal, or X-COM, or Noita, or Starcraft, or Disco Elysium, or Mario Kart. Variation is a a virtue. For me that also applies when it comes to games with any kind of sexual content.

I mean... they literally said it was an NTR "revenge" story. This was a change of pace from the typical "cuck gets cucked and moves on" plot. Just finished the game. Pretty kino. Not the best in H-scene but the content and side content are entertaining enough. I didn't like the religion one though, hard to see the event locations due to the star being a similar color to the floor.
anyone can help me? i play this game on joiplay but when going to the animated scene H, there is only sound, no image appears or the screen is just black, but on the PC it can run normally
