I genuinely like this game and I've been playing since the first version but I do think it has a problem in how some choices are presented, the worse example of this are the car choices. There is an official guide but it's supporters only.
The problem with some negative reviews is not that people don't like the game. No one is forced to like the same as others. As an example, I don't like some of the most famous games on this site. It's just a matter of personal preference as you said. The problem is that some reviews are made by people who clearly haven't played more than 15 or 30 minutes. Then the guy says: "The game has no real choices. Take two stars". I don't think it's very fair to review something as a whole having tested only 10% of it. But other devs must have the same problem.
Life goes on.
How should I as a player know which car leads to a scene?
It's not like there's any logic to it like if you buy the most expensive you'll always get scenes but if you get the cheaper ones the odds are lower.
No instead it's completely arbitrary, sometimes it's one of the cheaper ones sometimes it's an expensive one and the only way you have of knowing is going through the update 6 times until you get the scene you think you're missing.
And that's if the car is what actually unlocks the scene because most times picking the car doesn't affect anything at all and you have no way of knowing when it will in advance.
I know you have a guide available to supporters and I think that's a good decision, you do need something to attract people to patreon after all, but a good game shouldn't need a walkthrough to be playable.
Anyway to reiterate I really do like this game and only want it to succeed.
