I know this is a stupid question on this forum but here goes. I play on windows and I need to know where my save files are located to back them up. ANy help? Thx!

Depends on the game. Usually in the games folder somewhere, or your (usually hidden) appdata folder.
Ok more details. Sometimes I don't extract the games from the zip file. Are the saves still in the folder? I the past i just backed up the game folders and got no saves to go with them.

How do you play games without extracting them first?
BTW Renpy savefiles are usually stored in the APPDATA folder on Windows.
To find it, press the Windows Key and R together, then type %appdata% into the box and press enter.
There you will see a Renpy folder, all of your saves are in there.

You'd probably notice if it did save in the zip, it would have recompress it with the new save I think. Compressed files are meant for storage though no use. Ren'Py usually saves in both the games folder and the appdata.

Hmm, necroing a three and half years old thread to show the world that you haven't read the forum rules, saying something totally obvious, but that answer to none of the posts in the thread... What is the interest ?
By the way, "tout rejouer depuis l'ancien" (replay everything since/from(?) the old one) ? What the fucking fuck is this supposed to mean exactly ?
"Tout rejouer depuis le début" (replay everything from the start), or "rejouer tout ce qui a déjà été joué" (replay everything that have already been played) is what you should have wrote.
