I looked at that Steam curator (not developer or publisher but curator?) page. It's not TOO surprising that the Steam tags include "sexual content," because nudity is pretty obviously included. This site's idea of "sexual content" is probably a lot more hardcore than ESRB's.
Maybe these are some kind of soft porn games for folks who think a run-of-the-mill (if short) RPG Maker game is worth a few bucks if you throw some drawn tits into it. Maybe the dev's actually just an artist who wants to creatively sell cheesecake CGs. The dev might be just testing the water to see if there's any actual porn RPG market on Steam.
One thing that is kinda interesting is how amazingly on-model the art is compared to the little RPG Maker portraits. My guess is that the portraits were made first, and the CG was drawn to fit. You don't often see folks trying that, where they actually use the RPG Maker portrait maker thingies for main characters, but then also add art AND care enough about quality to keep the two consistent. I mean, coordination like that takes at least some amount of love and care by someone.
EDIT: Hm. Are all publisher and developer pages in steam implemented as "curator" pages? I had thought--assumed, I guess, that those were different things. I had thought the "curator" idea was for folks to find a semi-trusted source for video game reviews and recommendations with a particular theme.
Also, the three games listed there at least look very similar. It's possible that they just share the same artist and actually are developed by two or three (forgot to count) totally different developers.
I dunno. It feels like a little bit of a disingenuous practice is going on. Maybe it's just someone trying to figure out how to make a buck without really having a good feel for how the Steam platform operates. Maybe I'm full of shit myself. I dunno.
