Baku Ane We'll squeeze it out little brother, is a VN that overstays its welcome. 20+ hours of Nukige, don't work without an entertaining scenario, and what you get here is forgettable storytelling, limited characters, and muddled episodic daily life, where the fragilities of cast and premise, become aparent early on. Something else that is even more concerning personally, the incest tag is reduced to some reluctance, and a simple "we can do everything except lose our virginities, cause we are siblings". Disappointing overall, and the quickest fix would be to remove all the clutter, and "slice" the duration in half. If we forget the criticism for a moment, playing this, picking your favorite heroine, and watching her H-scenes, is very much worth it.
Positive:
- Lots of good H-scenes, and the heroines are attractive; TL is fine (no headaches, minor effort); The "jealousy scenes" available are amusing (this needed more "battle royale"); Good V.A (highlight); Outlier heroine (not "onee-san"); Harem route; Slice of life is slightly boring, but the events themselves are in line with the setting.
Negative:
- Routes are dull and uninspired (mostly H-scenes, and meaningless extra time with heroines. Naru is probably the exception); Protagonist is not just blessed, he is some sort of "chick magnet" (even idols want him); Lack of visual resources, when you take duration into account; Heroines only have 2 modes. It's either fawning/unconditional love or possessiveness/ commanding; The premise doesn't need (and it makes no real use) the idea of family, it just feels weird right from the start; Picking a "daily" event with a heroine in the common route, is a bad way to deliver the narrative (there's more to be explained, but the issue stems from that system, and the existence of an affection meter): And i could go on for a very long time.
Score: Baku Ane We'll squeeze it out little brother is a 7/10, and a decent VN, personally the score would be lower, but there's quality to be found here. If you like the "onee-san" archetype, and prefer tame tags in your 18+, this becomes a recommendation. Playing all the routes seems like a chore though, stick to your favorite heroine and harem H-scenes.
(H-scenes are THE reason to read this. Main issues would be tag diversity, and duration.)
