We are now entering the 6th year of development without a clear completion horizon, and that's cutting into my life quality at that point. The time and money is better spent on something more productive and ultimately, it means we can deliver content working from a flesh slate.
BBS will likely need to be remade from scratch and we would rather invest that into a new game. "

"Life quality", being hated everywhere surely is the holy grail of achievements. Can't see where he thinks this will become an issue if "work" demands more from you than you thought.

This had such potential (kinda, eh, idk), but even after all these years its still broken and unplayable, it would be better to just trash this or get someone else to work on this game because the devs surely dont know wtf theyre doing.
the "new" baxter character only has 1 scene (that I could manage to "activate", and it was being dominated by the snake lady thing)
you cant do anything in this game without it breaking,
some issues i run into the most:

When you encounter the 3 waves of enemies in like the halfway mark of a level, the camera just stops at the top right of one of the electrified barriers for some reason, you can move, attack and everything but the camera stays still.

the flying enemies love going out of bounds in that same area or my character just wont move at all after another wave spawns in, or i get dominated and become stuck or i dominate someone and get stuck etc, and lots of times the other waves didn't even spawn in but I somehow "won" ???

When the damn game does let me win, I cant open the chest half the time, only with the default green guy and 2nd female character it works 90% of the time, but with baxter on the 4 times i was able to move him towards the wave spawns, it would never open. at all. and his top half would just dissapear and float in mid air.

and that "new" character isnt worth trying out, even in debug mode, you cant do anything with him, the archer enemy completely bugs out and doesnt hit any arrows on you, and you constantly have the promt: "BREAK FREE" when youre nowhere near her, he's got only one scene (the snake thing) and you cant dom or sub to any of the enemies, and when you knock them out they just... pick you back up? you self revive after a stun?

And the debug mode itself does not work with the new character, completely breaks the game and youll have to exit out and re-enter trough the menu, the other characters' scenes work fine but baxter is a broken mess

its like they (the devs) had an idea for a character, put it all into the game without any thought, "incase they forgot" about it or something,
This shit fucking sucks, play something else
Im willing to bet that it'll only get worse if this does ever get another "update" aka broken feature added in that breaks the game even more.
That was quite the rant for a furry porn game wasnt it? Well,
I do hope that someday this shitshow will turn into an actual functional game (never happening lol)
because its kinda fun, somehow, I can at times enjoy it.
If you ignore the 75% of time you spend playing this to restart the game or trying to get trough bugs/being stuck, it's alright.
I really like the scenes and I like the sound a lot, aesthetic is cheap but I like it as well, thats all
I'd say skip out on this crap because nothing good/any improvements have been added in the past months/years
so youre better off playing something else

well Otcha, if you want to talk about dissapointment and wasted potental you came to the right thread. woulda quoted ya but thats a text wall and ahalf. anyway take a look at the origional barebackstreets project. it woulda been a lot more manageable project wise where it was a streets of rage style beat em up rather then an action platformer. then again a lot of this games problem is the rotating hired devs clown caring into code by the prior hired dev creating nuclear pasta code rather then regular spegetti code.
Has jasonfex ever completed a game ? So far he has a little over 1000subs on patreon and subscribestar. He must have some strong grifting skills.
Technically Amorous. It's about as buggy as a Ubisoft title. Still having nightmares of that nonbinary character literally losing their head. Or their body. I was expecting their floating head to throw me into the next best bottomless chasm.
Wow, the guy really just cant get it done. Randomly losing a head is no fun either
. I dont have any hope for the guy but even though its super buggy , I still like this game. Oh well, at least its got a fair bit of content. I feel bad for the ppl that keep giving him money though.

I remember they had a very expensive tier on Patreon that would add a character of your choice to the game. As far as I remember, someone bought it and... nothing happened or is there a continuation to this story? Maybe this never happened at all, but for some reason I remember something like that. Correct me if I'm wrong
