This game is still in such an early stage it is not really worth playing. New content is also drawn out and not much really new stuff is added so far. I wish I could be nicer to the game cause the graphics are beautiful, the models are great and it feels like it can be a solid game, but the dev needs to move stuff forward already and give people more content that is worth playing.
I don't play this game to play a The Forest game. I'm here to get that hot chick fucked by whatever is on the island and have a bit of quests to do that involve this content.

  • Several map leaks where the glowing "outside map" area shined through.

PROS

  • New enemy. Boring, but adds to the variety.
  • Combat improvements. Adds weak spots, armor that can be shot off to disable limbs, crosshair accuracy.
  • Interesting new area and collectible.

CONS

  • Not Episode 2.
    • I do appreciate the test build, and that these things take more time than we want, especially with a single \ small team Developer. That said, much of what we are seeing has been shown off years ago. It is painfully obvious these things are being drawn out to milk subscribers. This is one of the main things preventing someone, like me, who looks for games to support on sites like these, from Subscribing in the first place.
  • When shooting out a leg, the weak spot can become more difficult to hit. Requires specific angle that does not always work in close quarters. Must be hit from straight in front, back or left side. Bullet will not penetrate from right side, head or lower torso.
    • Suggest causing shoulder armor to also fail off during fall, opening up the angle more, and/or allowing penetration through the rest of the skeleton
  • HDR in this area can make the lighting very dark in some areas. Adjusting brightness washes out the light areas.
    • Suggest allowing the HDR presets shown during sex scenes, to be available in Graphics settings.

I found a pretty comical bug as well, if you get caught, sometimes you will be shown floating mid air when you get fucked, and after you're done every time you press X (the rag doll button) will you try to warp back to the fuck platform thing at light speed.

A bug I found last night, if you move the Pistol with the flashlight attached back in to the backpack storage, and then put it back on the weapon wheel, it'll lose the Flashlight and you have no way of getting it back.

One of the things I find so dissapointing about this project is that Animo seems to have little grasp of some simple concepts that make any game just more enjoyable to play.

I mean for instance, the enviroments look pretty good. But the lighting is so god awful that half the time I can't even see them. Its either way to dark or way to bright. Spend some time on post process volume's for god's sake.

Then there's just unecessary gameplay features like gun jamming. Which is just one of the most awful mechanics any game can implement. Especially in the way this game does it. Because its just a random occurance that the player can't do anything about and which can happen at the most inconvient of times. Which makes it just annoying. You're punishing the player for nothing.

There's plent of other oversights like not clearly marking pickups, so you can easily overlook them (not talking about collectables but ammo etc.) Nothing's really clearly marked to begin with. Where you need to go for instance is not always very obvious.

I still think the shooting in general is super bad. Its way inconsistent you either hit the thing you aim for from across the room in one shot. Or you need to empty a mag just to hit what you're aiming at.

The more time he spends on this project the more I feel like he should've just given us a more interactive version of the animations he was already doing. A handfull of small enviroments with loads of different postions and toys to play with. Instead of this overly elaborate survival and exploration game.

I noticed this also and added it to my bug list. I'm not associated with Animo and that list will likely never be seen, but maybe a Supporter will pass it on.

Am I the only one who thinks that Animo should just... I don't know... go back to making animations and leave game development for people that actually know how to develop a game? Like, how long has this thing been going on for now? 2 Years? And this is it???

The Test build seems to have also broken Photo Mode in the main game. Anyone else having issues with this? If not I need to do more digging on my end. Thanks.
