Do yourself a favor and DO NOT get a laptop with those specs. Its such a waste of money
kinda disagree. I have a laptop which is similar to the i5 spec posted, its very good but i did get it in a sale and i use it for CAD for work and University, definitely worth the money i paid for it

You can get a similar spec on a PC with better frames and your rig wont heat up like a grill on a barbie. Laptops in general have insane heating issues. It doesnt matter how good it is. Once your laptop overheats you lose frames or even disconnect or your pc just shuts down bcs of it.

If he plays games daily on high settings, then that laptop wont last long.

Depends on what do you want to do. Laptops are portable, easy to deploy. Maybe someone is a student who doesn't have much space for a full PC
