The dumbest argument you could've come up with. Mods are completely irrelevant here, as they require a certain amount of external effort to find, download, and install. What you see, download, and install is explicitly what you get, tailored for a customized experience.
So, in fact, how about YOU download the gay mods and shut up with your whining about making the base game gay (again) against the clear wishes of the majority?
You're delusional if you think it was a matter of "not clicking on those characters". When BB had such content, it was baked into the core game of the base levels that were unskippable. They were and still are meant to be proceeded through in a linear fashion. It wasn't a "toggle" or "optional" thing. And I don't see how it would be now. Outside of the aforementioned mods.
You really need to learn to cope with the fact gay content DOES NOT WORK in any game/media that's not exclusively centered around gay content. Anyone that tries to do that sees a net loss in interest and revenue. EVEN if it's a toggle/optional.
And I don't even really need to try hard to prove it, because the fact Komdog decided to opt out of it entirely (as what I presume is a plain business decision) already means you're on the losing argument here.
