I mean, i'm not a game dev, i tried to get hired as animator in Kom's team (COUGH probably i even could speed up the things already COUGH), but they refused... oh well
Could be a cool update of them adding a Jasmine level instead of just changing the background of the main menu:

(my idea/sugestion for the Jasmine level: you get for free by clicking in Jasmine's (you know) instead of her nose (since the nose only is used to get bonus image, and nothing else after, no boop), opening a dialogue then a custom level, that you can pick many scenes/animation of Jasmine, pick backgrounds, having a music for her (but you're open to pick your own music), the gameplay and so on, the only busy part for Kom (but probably he'll let the animation part for his workers and only do some polishing to make look like his animation) will be the Jasmine animations, because the rest would be customized by the player, and he has drawn many backgrounds for the comics, he can put in there so the player can add it, and well, he could add a cutscene intro and ending if he wants).

i think many people would like it if it was real, but sadly, Kom may be not interest, and i think he's not hiring animators to work on BB, so neither i can't bring that interesting idea.

opinion:
That game wastes a lot of cool idea, even some upgrades kinda downgrade the game (like the main menu background in the new versions, i think the background image sounds more ideal when you're going to play the acts (something from the previous versions, far as i remember), not in the main menu, they did the job before of characters appearing in gray background everytime in the menu in the previous versions before, sounds more clean and good in that previous version than now)

I don't believe they have any intentions of finishing the game, as long as it's "ongoing" they get a lot of free money without having to put much effort in for it.

I'm tired of saying this, but the only reason why this game's still going is thanks to modders keeping it relevant, but if you can clearly tell most are just tired at this point, reskin after reskin, and i'm not even complaining about people not making mods with original art because why bother? Why waste your time and talent on this unless you get paid for it, fuck's sake the mod with the latina cat was more elaborate and had higher quality than their last level

to be fair, kom has always had the bad habit of "almost" never finishing his projects (almost on quotes because there are some, if few, exceptions). it used to be his comics that he never fully finished and i can't imagine how many animations he's scraped before. if you check his twitter just can see that he's recently started working on 3D animations on the side, and coincidentally, BB's progress has also slowed down to a crawl.

it's fair to assume that he's trying to make BB into a cash cow (after all, there's tons of examples to pick from), but i'm leaning more towards him being a chronic procrastinator and losing interest in keeping up with BB's development after he's come off his high of "starting up a new cool thing i've never tried before!". i'm sure it'll take a couple of months before he gets tired of doing 3D animations and picks up something else.

I understand that, as a creative, one might find their interests leaning elsewhere. But as far as I'm aware, the majority of interest for funding lies in BB. I also believe that the Patreon used to be exclusively about funding BB but I think they changed that by now (in addition to hiding the stretch goals that they had reached, such as the gay route, and removing old content, such as the gay levels).

Once money is involved, any promise you make is a contract. I really try to be sympathetic and understanding to artists, but there's only so much leniency you can give, especially considering the rate of progress.

I've dealt with a lot of artists who get "distracted" and a lot of artists who actually get the work they promise done. I can tell you which artists I keep giving money to, and which artists I'd recommend to stay away from if you want to see your commission in the next 4 years.

Oddly the autoplay doesn't work (in that version, sadly)
no clue why they have that thing of removing the autoplay command for dev mode, or why changing the command everytime

For what i can remember, the First Act is supposed to be completed in 2023
so basically yeah, they didn't complete their roadmap yet
(some people may come with excuses, but it's very not professional of their part)

I understand that part, but is not following a 1-2 year old roadmap so bad that it should be brought up as a point of hate?
I assumed that roadmaps were a "in the best case possible, this is what we hope toachieve, and if all goes well, we should only be off by 1-2 months", and not set in stine rules to be held accountable for.
This whole situation gives me Sean Murray and No Man's Sky vibes.

What people are mad about is like, they're earning big cash, they (probably) hired new people to work on the project (even tho that maybe it's for the other projects, not BB), but in fact they're livestreaming gameplay of other stuff, the updates seems to be only after many months, they're stuff in the Dawna level since around 6 months, and mostly of the cases they're delaying the project to go on furrycons 100% of the times, sometimes are doing other stuff than working on the project.

When they're updating, they remove some stuff, add unnecessary stuff, polish the animation of one of the levels (despire taking months to make one level, they decide to polish the level even tho the quality sometimes are good and appealing (in good way)), returning with previous features that they removed, sometimes adding stuff to remove later and so on.

Kinda ironic when they're hiring people back there, but i think they could at least put an test for those who wants to work there (it's what mostly companies/jobs does), not just seeing the portfolio and that's it, and the fact that seems to be only to work on the other projects and not BB... sounds kinda weird, in my opinion

Frame it any way you want but Sean Murray did what BB did not -- actually sat down and worked on the game non-stop for years to deliver on the product they sold people.

It's clear that it's not just reasonable issues preventing BB from releasing the content they SOLD people. It is fairly easy to deduce that it's intentional. Once you make people pay money for something, you set expectations and those should more or less be delivered on. If they aren't then people should absolutely have an issue with it. If anything, it's weird for you to say people shouldn't. I mean my god, the demo product had all the animations/levels sorted from the get go. They're working on taking almost a year for one level at this point lol.

normally exists a mod folder on the game called "mods", you put the folder of the mod inside
the BB 1.311v only works with the 1.2-1.311v mods
the release kinda the same thing (you can't put 1.311v)
well, until the newest versions now works with legacy mods, for what i saw

note: always check the zip if he contains the folder and not separated files (you may do the "extract as...." so you can extract them into a folder)

note2: for what i get, the new 2.5v version will automatically download and put the mods inside the mod folder for you of your choice (you acess in the main menu, it's the "mods" option)
