The game is going through massive overhauls under the hood, and it has been for some time. That's for the benefit of not just how things work for the developers, but very explicitly for the modding community that has sprung up around the game. Meanwhile, there's more levels to look at for subscribers, though they're not complete (as of last release). Stuff takes time, and some of the game's features have taken new shapes to be developed on as well. It's been roughly 7 months since we have gotten a new level since Zoe. Since then, we have gotten:
- Guitar hero support
- A shop with nothing in it
- Songs are now 2 minutes (previously 1.5 minutes)
- Level selection (2 levels to select)
I unsubscribed like 4 months ago because of a lack of new content, and I hope everyone else does too
Where is the mods folder? All I see is the data folder and inside it is the levels folderTake the zip file that contains the mod, and unzip it into your game's mod folder. The folder that comes out should be read by your game when you check for mods (if the version of the game you're playing can read the mod).
It's not like we're running out of modders. Not only are new recharts and edits still coming out, there's nothing stopping modders from drawing new animations. That stuff is going to be fine, it's a matter of the actual process of making the charts while the game is being changed so much. Most of the version 2.X mods are coming out for the most recent public release.Kinda sucks how the updates are changing at such a rapid pace that the modders can't keep up with it. Hopefully a stable version comes soon. With all the version jumping, we're going to run out of modders who have actually good mods to put out and we'll be stuck with clones and recolors from v1.3
What's new?
Unforunately no new levels. It seems to largely be a back-end overhaul to make the game more mod friendly.is this the version that's supposed to have all the base levels finished? who's gonna be the hero?
am i having a dementia moment? lil bro literally posted a roadmap saying that all base levels would be completed by march of this year didn't he? i expected all levels to have clean art and colors, are you telling me they're still in that unfinished sketched state?Unforunately no new levels. There is however an updated version of Claire's level
And, to my surprise, an updated version of Zoe's level
Seems like they upgraded the art and it shows (makes the original Cathy lvl look a bit meh now tho)
Also, cutscenes. Lots of them. They've added pretty much all the cutscenes/dialogue between each level ( and there is a lot of original art may I add )
That's about it I think.
Yepp. Gale and Dawna levels are still very much unfinished.am i having a dementia moment? lil bro literally posted a roadmap saying that all base levels would be completed by march of this year didn't he? i expected all levels to have clean art and colors, are you telling me they're still in that unfinished sketched state?
yeah, i think a lot of artists get a hard time because of how long it takes to do art, that's kind of shitty sometimes and animation is even more time consuming but bro it's 6 frames per loop, with flats not even cel-shaded just straight flat colors and these characters are very simple like come on lil broYepp. Gale and Dawna levels are still very much unfinished.
if he delays the release its gonna look very bad.
id be incredibly surprised if he does though ...
