I'm pretty sure what he was saying is "We're moving away from Acts to Volumes so people don't think we are following a 'Three-Act Structure' where the third arc will be the last one."

I.e., by allowing the name to be volumes, it is clear that there are more volumes intended. Now, the cynicism comes on whether we'll ever get that far, but that name change seems to make perfect sense to me.

I'll never understand this. It's not only a dumb paranoid move, but also the packs / acts are literally vinyl disks and albums. Just call the acts, album's for fuck’s sake.

Imagine being someone who was backing this game from the start, only to have that money go towards games you might not even be interested in. Yeesh.
