HTML - Become Someone [v1.75] [Volen]

The story is your usual male MC taking over the town and boning every girl in it. The content is amount is low, it's just hidden behind a ridiculous amount of grinding to give it the illusion of that not being the case. Gif choices are nice, except at least one of the characters gets inconsistent casting. The game is good if you have a lot of free time, but if not don't waste it on this.

I think this is an excellent game compared to other HTML games. Bit of grindy but overall this game is perfect, there is tons of content, a great selection of models, the storyline is good, lots of characters to explore, and lots of places to explore.
I would recommend playing atleast once, you won't regret it. I also like to appreciate the effort of the dev for frequent updates.

Overview
Get ahead in the world while getting every girl.

Story
You're a college student who has a penchant for dominating women but luckily you live in subsville and every woman you meet is just dying to have a strong man throw her to the ground and pound her pussy so hard that she can't stand up afterward. Overall the tone is very dominating, sometimes mysoginistic. Even though you can turn some of the girls into girlfriends, the default path for most is sex slavery to you.


Where this game really shines over the many many games with a similar premise is that the player does more than just expand his harem over time. He actually starts his own small business, moves on from his entry level job, and makes something of his life.


Gameplay
Run of the mill sandbox. Go to a location at a specific time and interact with the girl to advance her story one step.


This is where I would usually talk about the level of grind, but in this game it is a complicated subject. On one hand there is a fully functional quest tracker that eliminates the "hunt every location in every timeslot" grind. Most girls only have like 5 events before they are complete as well, so some can be pounded out (no pun intended) in no time. There is also a blessed lack of blatant time wasters like "wait 3 days before doing the next step in this event chain", although a few events are only available on wednesday or the weekend. HOWEVER, I would be lying to you if I said this game was light on grind. The money grind is absolutely abysmal, especially early on. There is also stat grinds that almost don't matter except for one event around the middle of the game. Trying to get all of the high school girls to pass their tests requires the patience of a saint. Even worse is if you don't know the game mechanics you can end up wasting literal hours grinding inefficiently when completing an event will eliminated much of that grind. Some of the paths are mutually exclusive as well, so you need to play around with saves to see everything, which means repeating grind in places. The final point I will make here is that this is a huge game. There are 2,304 different sex animations in the current version. You will end up scrolling up and down lists of girls all the time because they don't fit on the screen. A current playthrough without cheats is at least 10 hours.

Graphics
It's real porn but at least the devs have tried to match every character with a single porn star so the images at least match most of the time. The game is absolutely packed with porn animations. You'll be seeing 5-10 second clips with practically every event. Most are reasonably high quality. That said it's a bit hard to fap to this game because the sex scenes are so short. You get one or two animations, maybe a page of dialog, and it's over. All of the animations do at least loop and you won't be waiting long for the next one.

Tips
I have some hints for avoiding wasting quite so much time in pointless grind in this game.

1. Don't bother with the business until you have at least 20,000 bucks to spend on it. It's a waste of time and energy except for the story unlocks. Your waiter job pays much better per unit of time until you can upgrade the business a couple of times and hire a bunch of people.

2. Focus on romancing all of the teachers early on. This will let you get the graduation event (make sure you have done the stat grinds before this point) which multiplies your income by five times. Trying to grind out the business upgrades on a college student salary is madness, but the game doesn't tell you this, it just lets you waste your time.

3. If the game starts running slowly, sometimes reloading the page helps.

Conclusion
If you are into domination and submission this game has oceans of content for you. It is also very well constructed, making full use of the TWINE engine to feel like an actual game and not a bunch of webpages with porno gifs spattered on them. If however you like romancing the ladies and getting to really know them you should probably skip this. Every girl starts out horny and you have your dick in all of them by the second or third encounter, sometimes the first, sometimes with dubious consent.

Good at having a variety of depth without being too grindy. I haven't completed any of the paths yet, but I'm consistently impressed by the level of polish each girl is given. I sometimes wish it was more clear what you had to do to advance certain relationships, but that's purely a dev decision, and it is one I can respect.

A stupid box of garbage

Grinding like “only on Wednesday between 12:00 an 13:00 and only at location x” something like that. And on the other side there must be a lot of click-work be done to some bad quality video clips and much more to grow up your business if u want to meet the next girl.

I like these “click-to-progress” games but this is complete nonsense.

It is not worth a try

Excellent game, ( v0.9 ), I'm playing this game since long time, good gameplay and story. Also good walkthrough mode. And for this game you don't need to cheat, I think. File size getting bigger but ok for this real porn game.

Become Someone, a game with a great visual, freedom and premises. Although it was saddening some of great feature of this game made more complicated.

Gameplay, you play as you, you can be anything you want, although you might be clueless what you need to do to become someone you want. I recall there are hints about things that unrelated to relationship in past versions, it seems to be either currently reworked or deleted.

Girl progression are quick, last time I played, it was so much grind and I was so worked up by grinding to get my reward which are progress. Now, it felt easier and effortless.


User Interface, looks like developers are currently butchering their UI into new User Interface. I don't know how far they will do it, but so far it seems nicer. Some part still having redundant function, but it's to be expected if they are reworking on it.

Writing, since this game are text based, I think I might say one or two thing about this. Font choice are fine, Placeholder are perfectly fine, but I find myself hard to focus on the writing because of fancy UI, makes me kinda distracted, almost feels like the UI stolen text spot lights.

Mechanicsm, it so fluid, nothing feels clunky, of course with exception they are currently working on UI, if they do. So far, there weren't any in-game mechanism that would occupy your attention for longer than 30 seconds.

Overall, I really like this game especially their premises, compared to earliest they have been make humongous progress and effort into developing this game. And it looks like they also satisfied their fans too, it almost to good to be true.

P.S. Online version are quick as fuck, it almost feels like I am downloading the game. So little load time needed, good shit. (it does for me, if doesn't for you, well sucks to be you)

Decent amount of content, impressive for HTML game. But the progress with characters is way too fast and I don't like. Feel like you talk to girl twice and third time she'll fuck you. Basically no progression.

Also don't really understand the point of making it sandbox, it's like making 200 level game and putting final boss in first 5 levels. Would be better with longer quest.

An impressive HTML game with tons of content and many different women to seduce. The game mechanics, artwork, and choice of images and videos are excellent.
However, I felt that the escalation with each woman happens too quickly - you basically meet them and within a few interactions you are already getting laid. I would prefer a slow build-up to each situation.
There is also a bit of grind work involved in getting money and advancing through some parts of the game. The high school job, in particular, is tedious and it felt like the effort wasn't worth it in the end.
Other than that, the game certainly deserves to be played and there is plenty of content to work through.

overall it is a solid game but i dont feel like giving it 5 stars. it is a weird case when you want to like that game more than comparable ones but fail to do so.

so lets say im being subjective but it feels like the game:
[>] lacks build up with main npcs, that is, things are felt rushed.

[>] non-memorable arcs / quest-chains.
it is a comparative assessment as i do not read texts in any sandboxes but here:
(a)things were rather blurry for me. (and with many games i get a sufficient understanding of what is going on from quest tasks&tips, visuals, and glimps of dialogues)


(b)some tasks felt weird and repetitive (for example i remember just visiting some gials at the same time and get a progression. it was closer to RPsim type of game play. not necesserily bad as you need short routes as 'anti-blueball measures' as well.)

maybe (a,b) is the consequence of shorter-than-needed quest chains or maybe devs rely heavily on texts for some immersive narrative and background (though does it work for ppl playing sbxes? for me texts are like impediment before task completion. it is smth u skip in order to rush to your UI with locations n tips)

*also im not being picky as im fine with any banalities and common routes (which i believe most games are comprised of, it is not like someone can come up with something original and wow in a porn game. and for me that works better than any supernatural or pills element. i cannot remember if this game had such though i think it does have some magic shop with magic collars? even if not - that basement-slave gig felt bit unnatural)

Kind of boring. While they've solved the grinding problem, the game still seems off. It gives off the feeling of wanting to be taken seriously as a story, but missing the story aspect.

I'm one of the few, I think, that's more satisfied with the build up coupled with a story. Accomplishing a new relationship goal feels half-assed since there's barely any text, it's over so fast it's almost like it never happened.

I have been following this game for a while now and finally they have done something to solve the grind, granted its still there but its far better than back then, also they are finally starting to make a money sink mechanic and it seems like he is listening to the community, added with how good of a game it is I can say this is a good html game right now and if it continues getting better it might even become one of the best.

This game just felt off to me. There were some bugs (used the online version of 0.87), but none were game breaking. There are a bunch of different map locations, 8 or so different stats for your character, 3 relationship stats for each girl.... and yet it only take 3 interactions with the Mom to get a blowjob? It's like the developer built this whole world for you to progress through, just to have you beat the game midway through the first level. Maybe I'm so used to games like Dual Family, where is takes forever to end up with almost no content, that the reverse just makes me uncomfortable? But seriously, the developer should flesh out the content a bit. It's just not a believable progression at this point.

A lot of content in this game so far. When you play most HTML games you get gifs and/or pics with no sound and they never are characters that you encounter in the game. This creator has clear spent a lot of time making sure all the girls here have their own gifs with sound and their pics are pretty spot on. That means you get some really great immersion during your play throughs. Another great thing is there is absolutely no bugs so far. At least none that I have encountered. It is grindy for sure and hope that the grind is less as this game comes to fruition. Also,. the progress window is great but would love to get a journal or something that can help us track the quests better or that can point us to the direction of starting said quest. I did notice the highlighted options for the college sequences which was great in letting me as a player know I had to go to that class. Hoping that is fleshed out more across the whole game. Giving it 4 out 5 as the grind prevents it from being a 5.

A lot of content here! A bit too grindy for my liking but def one of the best html games out there! A lot of girls but the paths at this stage are quite short for some of them. The map is a big talking point, I liked the way it was as first with only pictures of the places you could click. The story itself is pretty straight forward and involves a lot of corruption, which obviously is a good thing! A note to the dev. I'd happily take fewer but bigger updates, there's no need to update every week with just a couple of more random encounters.

Kind of meh.
GUI is too busy, yet it manages not to give enough information to player. There are lots of locations and buttons you can click that result in nothing. Navigating the map is too slow and prone to false clicks.

Character are dimensionless and progression with them is very unconvincing. Sexual interactions also are really wooden, often giving you no options at all. Also sex possibilities are location tied, so that brakes immersion even more. Game is also very poor at giving information on how to progress with the characters.

On the plus-side there seems to be lot's of stuff, hopefully it can be turned into something good. Now it is just mostly junk.

Review as of v 0.84
It is a big Html+real porn game. Porn is plentiful and easy to get to, not a lot of fetishes, mostly simple corruption-seduction-harem plot.
On the earlier versions there was a grind issue, as of now - it's pretty much gone, progression is smooth and easy, you constantly jump from scene to scene.
In latest versions Dev seems to shift game into more "complex" territory - adding minigames, additional systems, reworking navigation, etc. I can't say that this is a completely succesful endeavour - most of them feel out of place and detract from overall enjoyment. I would prefer simple content bumping for existing characters - "if it works, don't break it"
Don't expect some complicated plot/complex characters. This game isn't of that sort.

I don‘t recommend this, try something else.

Usually I write that at the end of my reviews but, heavens, this game is awful.
You’ll grind for hours to get sex scenes that are short and not well written, the clips are good, but the rest is lackluster.
The writing in general is poor, using the indirect speech for everytime the MC dialogues with any character is cheap and dull.
The characters have no personality, they have one trait that gets canceled as soon they become sex addict.
But most importantly the game has no story, it tells you that you will become someone, it makes you question at the beginning of the game, but in the end it’s all futile!
It’s a boring sandbox full of boring activities that you have to get by grinding hours of your life, and the rewards are insulting.
I could mention other things like: the lack of choices, some bugs, cringy writing, clichés everywhere...
I still don‘t recommend this game, maybe you’ll find some fun in it, but I doubt it.

Lots to this game and it’s pretty hot overall. Maybe could use some hints about how to advance plots every so often. I seem to be stuck on the sister storyline right now. Also the map interaction can be a little annoying and it would be easier if there were a linked list of locations as an alternative way of getting around.

After couple hours i conclude this is a sheer grindfest my wrist hurts from moving the mouse and clicking so much raising these trust levels is just an annoyance , had not much fun playing this ... Pictures and so on everything seems nice but the grind destroys any fun and made me hate the game wouldn't touch it without cheats or saves.
