This matches my sentiments exactly. I know the 'point' of buying new Bedabots is to *bed* them, but our 'First' should be special. Tonally speaking, it's like a switch was flipped, and I believe the lead up could be smoother, or perhaps the suddeness could come from Shockitty herself, rather than it being the protagonist's impetus.
I can understand this sentiment,
frankly, the reason the lead-up is so sudden is because we needed to rush the development a little for the demo,
I have no issues with taking the time to expand that scene further,
but people are very exited to see the story progress,
so, at this time, it seems to be wiser to focus on creating new content instead of revising the old too much.
(especially since I had to stall so much lately with remaking the apartment and creating Red's 3D model)
I think that, after the release of a few new chapters,
the sudden flip will be more palatable (shouldn't spoil anything)
But if this sentiment remains, we'll think about it.
If there isn't an option to pet Shock Kitty in the future I will start a riot
There will!
Characters in sex animations seem to be tiny 3D models with a pixelated overlay, but I could be wrong.
Either way the first and only animation seems to be pretty decent so far.
I do hope that its possible to obtain bedabots that are not furry in the final game.
Yup, they're renders of animated 3D models, which I later process through image editing software,
add some effects, and do a lot of Paint-overs frame-by-frame, to add a layer of polish which is difficult to do with Blender alone.
This method has drawbacks, like the large amount of work required to set things up,
but once they are, the results are quite nice.
I'm aware that this sentiment is strong, mostly outside of our discord server apparently,
I'll do what I can to design future bedabots with more-minimized animal features.
I personally find designing characters with at-least some animal-esque features to be more fun,
but I have a responsibility to listen to the public, so I'll do what I can.
hopefully less furry-like bots in the future.
Noted.
I really liked the demo's multiple art styles, story and "gameplay" I'm wondering if the devs can answer three things.
How many updates until we smash the receptionist Sera or a bot on the Sera side of humanlike Bedabot.
Can the main menu image of the three bots be used for the banner and thumbnail or maybe the Dev/artist can make a image of the censored MC overlooking the city with bots by his side (or in ads) I think it would fit best thematically with the MC struggling but still making his way in the city with Bedabots.
Lastly I agree with someone when they said the MC bangs spark a bit too quickly, maybe add a 3d scene of them checking out the apartment with Shockitty have her sexily lying on couch, showing off her ass checking the kitchen/fridge and posing/stripping in the bathroom. Build the tension for the bedroom and help us get used to the 3d scenes.
Thank you, from my view the art style should serve to elevate the story,
So depending on the context and vibe of the scenes, I change things around to help you immerse yourself better into the story.
This really helps me to have fun when I'm drawing the comic too,
If I kept the same style throughout the whole story things would get stale for me, and the player.
To smash Sera, it'll take a while,
other humanlike robots, perhaps sooner.
That sounds good!
our vision for the game was VERY different when I made that poster,
so it'd make sense to remake it,
but knowing myself, I'd be very inclined to polish the fuck out of it, so it'd take a bit of time to do,
sounds like something I could take care of near the end.
Good idea!
With the remade and polished apartment, I can actually plan out the scenes much better,
so it's possible that I could make a number of sprites with the MC and Shock shilling a bit before it gets spicy.
we'll see how things shake out.
Kobold Adventure really drew me in, so I'm excited to see what Tinkeringturian can do with an actual team and funding!
As much as I wish there were more to their previous work, I'll happily see where this goes. There looks to be a ton of love and effort put into the making of the demos, and if it keeps up I bet this will be a gem of a game.
One of the main reasons I decided to partner up with TT was his stellar writing for KA,
With his talents for writing and mine for art, I believe we have something special on our hands.
The gameplay side is weak though, I hope we can rectify that as we keep working on the game.
But the main plan is to focus on our strengths.
It's alright, everyone can be overly ambitious and abandon their first project. Surely, this time it'll end in a much better state than Kobold Adventure, this time the dev is experienced and knows what he wants, plus it's no longer a solo project. But i'd say adding it in "Other Games" like this would be fair.
Make sure to remind TT to keep a tight leash on me.
As someone with a (mainly) concept artist background, I tend to go wilder with ideas,
and TT rolls them back into something more manageable.
Remember.
If there's delays to the game, it'll be 90% due to me.
I tend get a bit too autistic with polishing everything I touch...
