Also, so, there's no directly sexual content, but how explicit does the art get? I mean if you look at the screenshots, Mr. Bear is clearly packin' a lot more heat than just that greatsword, soooo...
You can see them nude, but not their equipment I'm afraid.

Hell, I see people in primarily-English communities use bara to refer to straight, SFW stuff as 'bara' if it has a focus on this style of beefy dude.

Naked but their private parts are covered.

Not a fan of Bara style, but the story seems interesting.
Isn't it weird how many of the furry h-games are bara? It's such a small percentage of furry artwork but as far as games go it's almost all bara.

I like the slimmer builds.

I kinda love how these topics have mainly moved past the whole 'why are furry games so gay???' thing to finally ask the important question: why are they so beefy?

yea it's widely seen as yaoi = just gay, while bara = big hunky men
Yaoi is kind of an old term. It's more often referred to as BL (boys' love) when speaking broadly about the genre while bara is a word that's become associated with a specific style common to one particular magazine, as someone up there explained, and yaoi is a somewhat-outdated term that usually only refers to written-for-women m/m comics.

Basically bara is targeted at men, yaoi at women, and BL is the genre.

That's a good point. A lot of furry art is gay, so that part doesn't surprise me. There's also a lot of bara furry stuff, but I'd wager it's, like... Maybe 10% of all furry porn art, tops? And yet it accounts for what seems like at least 40% of all furry games. I guess you gotta be pretty ambitious to want to conquer Man Mountains, so fans are just naturally more inclined to take on more challenging projects than art alone would be..?

Maybe it's that most of gay furry games seem to come from Japan where bara is much more popular, but I may be wrong.

That's true, most of the furry bara games are either Japanese or Chinese.

Maybe Beastars will inspire a new wave.

Man, between Beastars, Brand New Animal, that recent unveiling of Tezuka's kemono porn stash... I'm really hoping Japan is gonna usher in a new age of furry smut. I love Western art if it's good, too, but goddamn is anime-style kemono hentai so fucking good most of the time.
