VN - Ren'Py - Being a DIK [v0.11.1] [DrPinkCake]

This game is the best game on this site, period. And it is not even finished yet. In fact, the only bad part about the game is that it will eventually end, in which I hope the author will go on and make a sequel using some of the same characters (Jill, Sage), or make new ones that are at least as good.

You can tell it is the best one because it offers no real fetishes other than maybe feet and domination, is not even halfway through finished, and still manages to be one of the top 3 trending games on this site.

I could go on for hours about every little aspect, from music, to models, character personalities, plotline, minigames, branching, and so on. Truth is there is nothing to say, because everything is perfect.

This game has raised the bar so high that previous games i thought were good seem like shit now, including DrPinkCake's previous work. It is so good in fact that my review is completely meaningless in a sea of 300+ 5 start reviews, despite not even being close to finished. Just play it at this point lmao.

I cant imagine how a game could be better than this. Keep up the excellent work. This game has made me hard, crying, laughing, in love with one of the girls and totally hooked in two days now.

The story are amazing, and there are so many things to choose of that makes you want to play it a bit different multiple times.
The music, the scenes, the atmosphere, the mini games, everything.

This game is really something. Even far from completion, I can easily say that it's the best adult VN that I've ever played. It has some minor flaws here and there, but overall I really think it would be difficult to not like this game.

+The plot is what you should expect from a college&frats setting: lots of parties, lots of fucking around, girls to bang, some love drama here and there... But the game kind of foreshadows more serious and dark themes in the future. How much dark they'll be, only the future will tell.

+The writing is top-notch for an adult VN. The dialogues are really well written and because of that most of the time, it seems that you, the player, are really interacting with the characters of the game. They "sound" very believable for the setting this game takes in.

+The graphics (or should I say renders) are the best I've seen so far in the 3DGC genre over here. Most of the characters are really realistic looking and most of the girls are gorgeous. But unfortunately, there's a couple of characters that still give me that uncanny valley feeling.

+The animations are the best that you could've asked for. It's not that slideshow type of animation, these here are fully animated, really professional work.

+Very memorable characters. Each character has a unique personality and traits. Even the side characters. I think this is the only game that I could easily remember the name of all the characters and what their trait is, because of how much of an impression they've left on me, be it bad or good.

+And last, but not least, the music. Man, the music is FUCKING amazing! Seriously, I have to congratulate the developer for really investing in this department, because it makes a huge difference! I don't think this game would be as half as good as it is without this excellent selection of tracks. The music here plays a huge role in setting an atmosphere for the scenes. Don't try to play this game on mute or you'll be missing a lot of memorable moments.

This game is very ambitious and I think you should give it a try, even if you're the type of guy that only plays these games for the lewd/sex scenes. I was like that too but now I don't think I will be easily interested in playing another adult VN because this game really raised the bar for me.

Damn, the renders are great, the girls are great, the story is fucking great, the girls are great, the animations are great, the game is so much fun and the girls are great.

I laughed a lot playing, it's the only game I've seen here that I've played and I found it really fun, there are other good ones but this one is very good!

Dik's are the best, Hell Week was incredible. I remembered american pie so much.

And i love the drunk scenes.

This must be the best non AAA game I`ve ever played. The work put in this game is awesome. The renders are beautiful and the story is well written. The humor are hilarious (my taste may be bad) but it really hits me. I dont want this game to ever end, its priceless. And developers: Never quit doing what you doing cos this is great stuff Looking forward to every update in the future.

What can i say about this game that wasn´t already said. If we look at the overall quality of the game it has to be the best here. There is just so much it offers to the player.

The addition of swipe was so cool, i had so much fun using it.
After i finished the game yesterday i had the main theme song stuck in my head for some time, it is really good and there are a couple of others too.

Definitely a game that set the standard really high for the rest to follow.

There are some things that could make the game even better. For example the character renders are amazing, but there are a couple of games here that are better in that department. Also some work could be done on the MC´s dick to make it look more real, it looks kinda plasticky imo.

Dr pink created something special here and it is no wonder that so many people are commenting about this game, it definitely deserves it.

Think this might be first game I ever reviewed on this site but it fully deserves 5/5 and it really really making me wish next part was out but know that likely wont be until forever (don't think this will be 1 the countless abandonded just that it will take a L0ng Loong time ---> to clarify even if they add episode 5 [5.0] which has me slightly confused the actual next season is what I imagine will be way way down the road).

Amazing game with such different directions and love interests. And also directions in how to do it properly, even offering of a walkthrough. I do hope you get more people dling this even buying from steam to play this amazing and detailed game.

Being a DIK is the epitome of the VN/Porn Game genre - exceptionally high quality images and videos, and lots of them; a large cast of distinct and original characters (both male and female) that, while derivative of common archetypes, engage us and, crucially, maintain a consistent and recognizable personality. Their actions and reaction are based on well established motivations that we, the player, can actually recognize and understand.

The script is really good to the point that even the farcical comedy bits just work - nothing seems to be forced into the story for effect, the story and scenes flow naturally from the interaction of setting, circumstance and character.

Example: dude shows up to class belligerently drunk and wearing a dildo helmet and the professor doesn't react, and I believe it, cuz that's the universe they've built.

And finally, for all that quality, the game is huge in length, complex in the number of branching paths, has both VN and Sandbox elements to it that interchange brilliantly, is populated with lots of the most non-annoying and relevant-to-the-story mini-games imaginable, and is delivered virtually bug free.

Came for the pleasure. However, by the end of chapter 2, I didn't even realize the level of attachment I felt for all the characters, and it only skyrocketed by the end of chapter 4. Being a visual novel, the game by nature tends to force the player down certain paths- all of which had me nearly at the edge of my seat. See, by the end of the 4th chapter (version 0.4.1), The character development and plot progression had reached to a point that it did not simply sit well by just looking at the porn scenes, I suppose. By now, the desire to see the characters grow in their own ways along with their interactions with each other is something that shall only increase day by day as I await further iterations of the game. I never imagined that I would be uploading a review- but it was without a doubt, worth it. Remained for the plot.

Game was so good I ended up buying Acting Lessons on Steam just to support the dev. Great humour, great range of characters/personalities, good animations, no extensive grinding bs, and an extremely interesting story. It's a fun game that gives you the chance to live the "US college" or "American Pie" life. Can't wait for more updates.

In preparation to play this game, I played Acting Lessons as it is the previous title DrPinkCake worked on to this. Let me tell you, when you first load up the game, and they warn you about the themes of the game, they were not kidding . Shit tugs at the heart strings more than Acting Lessons could EVER. This shit got me tearing up, angry and heart broken, and its only the first season. God damn do I want to fund this game, much recommend. Shit got me in my feels harder than the first game. #CumSlut

Why do I keep pushing off playing these games with awesome ratings ? If a game with hundreds of rating manages to get such a high one, it means people playing it loved it so much that they had to express it, even though it didn't impact the rating much. And I'm one of these people. What a complete masterpiece this game is shaping up to be. What a masterpiece this game already is! Obviously you need to take your time with it, but these are the best games. Playing while sleep deprived made me so emotional as well, I cried a few times, because of how much I empathized with everyone's struggles.
And that date with Jill... Masterful storytelling.
Derek is hands down the funniest guy in any game ever, while still feeling completely real and honest. The girls are all fleshed out, different and amazing in their own way. Most of the other guys, not so much, but meh, who cares really. Can't wait for what is to come next!
Seriously, you got a couple hours of free time? PLAY THIS GAME, you won't regret it!

Being a DIK is an exquisite experience, with memorable moments, you are really interested in what will happen next.

The music is very good, and what I say is that the themes chosen according to what is happening on the screen are very good, it is a wonderful choice.

Not to mention that the erotic scenes are excellent.

Definitely a game to devote the time to play it.

Great game overall! The animations were the smoothest and unarguably the best I've seen so far. There are a plethora of hot girls to choose from, each with quite unique characterization and physique. The background music was on point and makes the game engaging, but it gets a bit repetitive at some places. Although there are not many paths to choose from in the beginning, episode 4 splits the game into 3 different branches and some major choices, plot points start appearing. The DIK system was a good add-on and allows for different choices, making the game worth playing multiple times. While mini-games are not the best, they are simple enough and can also be skipped. Thank you DPC for the masterpiece!

Came to do unholy things, stayed for the plot

To be fair, i've played this for a bit before (not even through ep1). But i decided to give it a new go and i must say I'm speechless. Such a masterpiece and a well crafted plot, with amazing renders and animations. This is for sure my new favorite game on here!

Sadly i am not currently not able to support through Patreon (life of a student you know), but i am definitely going to support once i am able to!
