Mod Ren'Py Being a DIK Walkthrough+Cheat Mod [v0.11.1][scrappy]

So the work on multiple branches is going fine but there a part where I'm not sure just how to implement it so I'd like to hear your suggestions.

1. The stay at the party or go to Bella option - still deciding if to let the player see both options in this case (then I'll probably make it so you do all the party stuff and then go to Bella's)
2. If you go to Bella then with which girl do you end the night with - for this I'm leaning towards only 1 scene visible and the game will flow better than people teleporting from bed to couch (but could just do the "see all options" but the scene sequence will be a bit nonsensical)

I think most who use the mod will prefer to go to both parties. As for what version of the PJ party you see; maybe doing it like how you did the Halloween party, where a player can choose to see every version but will just have to pick one of those to end the night on, might work. You could also make it so that they have the option to the end the night after each girl interaction just for any players that really want a somewhat plausible narrative flow. No clue how much work that would or wouldn't entail though so at the very least giving the option to choose which girl to end the night on would be good.

Side question, how were you thinking of dealing with scenes like meeting dad for thanksgiving, the Maya/Josey snow date, or ending the cabin event with Jill/Bella? Will those be "see all" or will those also be a "pick and choose" case?

I loved the "See all" options you had in every version before chapter 11. You let us keep the variable, every branch open and let us go to both partie on after the others, so we are able to see every different scene just like you did before chapter 11.

I have a save just before chapter 11 for when you update the mods and we will be able to see all scene and different dialogue just like before, i am just waiting for the mods update haha

the game crashes every time after the "playing the birthday card" line at the beginning during the lana flashback. i have the mod downloaded and everything but idk how to fix this. even when i open the cheat menu before the game crashes there is the "an exception has occurred" someone please tell me how to fix this im dying to play the new episode ffs. it also doesnt come up with the scrappy mod installed message that appears on the main menu too.

Post the error message that comes up.

If it's not showing the mod installed on the main menu then it's not installed properly. The error message should give a clue as to what's wrong.

Yeah the mod isn't installed correctly. You'll be best doing a fresh install and make sure you follow the instructions in the OP and merge the game folders, don't go into the game folder and paste it there, it has to be merged.

Hey, love the mod and thanks for you work. It helps me to do other paths without re-running the whole game too much.

I was wondering if you have any plans on updating the relationships and variables sections in the cheats menu. They are currently very outdated.

Well you were using Sancho mod because "smsmx" is a variable added on Sancho mod (sm). Go to (any) Sancho mod thread and get the SaveFixer that is in the OP of the thread and place it inside the "game" folder, so you can use sancho modded saves in an unmodded install or with this scrappy mod.

Edit : FYI my current saves (already played the update) they were also sancho modded saves and now they are sanchoscrappy saves hehe because even later with a new update I have to place the SaveFixer again or the saves still will give errors without it, almost 100% sure.

Update on the multi branch mod. Currently I've been testing it, fixing errors and bugs and played through it more times that I can count and I've grown a bit tired of it... So I'll be stepping away from working on it for a few days (unless there's some gamebreaking bugs) . The update is 95+% done and works with all branches active. That said if you want this mostly complete update

Savefixer didn't work for me, I got frustrated and wiped all my saves, and started over. I finished Season 2 with 6 runs, and just started Season 3. All clean (using URM and upscaled video mods only).

Hmm well its weird, besides the SaveFixer I used a file that a member provided in the sancho mod thread to place to default a few variables that were missing when removing the mod (You can check that better on last maybe 20 posts of Sancho BaDik mod thread).

But everything works fine and didn't got a single error and I played all my 5 playthrough saves that now are 7 because I split the Others path into 3 near the end of the update (Lily, Nicole and Zoey. Lily path is still the "manwhore" path but Nicole and Zoey's will be exclusive moving forward I guess).

Sorry it's probably already been asked so many times, but it's hard to look in the search tab and haven't found any fix yet, so I crashed at the end of episode 7 after I pressed the "done" button. How do I fix it is there any patches I heard this includes with the patch but it didn't seem to work, thanks in advance.

Update: I think I know the problem, it's because I'm using JOIPLAY. Welp guess I need to restart using an Android port I guess

The only difference is that Stephen didn't get the video so Jade doesn't blame you but I wanted to make it so there's no jade business AT ALL in my Sage route and the MC still blames himself and talks like he fucked Jade. Even though the options are like this. Someone knows what's wrong?

Yep, there is other variables regarding Jade in season 1 and maybe 2 not sure, that need to be changed as well, don't remember them by heart (they appear as a path detected with URM before trigger a particular dialogue) but since I use URM also I "remembered" and changed those variables for the paths I don't want that guilty drama to happen hehe not on all the paths but in some like Sage one, definitely don't want that kind of drama there hehe.

If you know how to use URM it is a good complement for scrappy mod (they can't cheat everything or wouldn't do anything else) so you can change a few variables without the bother of replaying a bunch of content with freeroams included.

Hey I think I have found a bug when i play ep 6 and that is at the Gender Studies Class at the answers i give to Maya the ones i gave to the lunch date from ep 1 is that the mod highlights corrects my choices in which ive choosen between indoors/outdoors and at a party/at home but highlights wrong at the one between cuddling with a blanket/bubble bath/neither in which if i picked the cuddling with a blanket the mod highlights neither as the right one and when ive choosen my answer i picked in ep 1 without picking the one higlithed wrong by the mod. Also when i finish picking all the right answers even though the mod highligted the wrong one why it said that i passed the test without the perfect when ive picked all the answers, before this class i had 11 perfect and passed but after the gender studies from ep 6 i have 11 perfect and 12 passed its a bug or at this test I only get passed without the perfect even though ive picked all the right answers.
