Beloved Mad Scientist Elana [Final] [Knot Games]
You're lucky I love Tower Defense games and also the funky artstyle.
So, the plot of the game is that there's a peaceful village that the mad scientist moves into, and initially, you think she's going to turn them into horrible sex slaves or something, nope. She's just a pervert and helps the innocent townspeople with weird sex creations all that she can. The townspeople are also green. I know that drives some people wild. So you're not actually defending the mad scientist against townspeople or anything; it's just a special lunar event that makes sexual energy really easy to gather. So she has all of the villagers walk along a path so she can bring them to orgasm so she can get the sexual energy required to fulfill her lifelong dream, building a spa. They explain this in fewer words than I used; it does not matter.
So you have the option of picking story mode and sandbox mode. For story mode, you just need to hit a certain amount of points, and then the story finishes. For sandbox mode, it just goes on until your computer crashes like mine did or until 10 villagers cross the exit. There are three different types of scenes outside of the intro and ending cutscenes. Every time one of your Towers hits an enemy, you get a little sexual pop-up notification circle. Each tower has, I believe, three different ones, and I think they show up at random. (Since there are male and female villagers, it's different for each. An example would be slime tentacles and penises for female villagers and slime sexy ladies for male villagers). In addition, whenever you upgrade a tower, you lose the ability to buy it while a scene plays in the upper right involving the scientist. Finally, there's a statistic scene after each wave that shows you how much damage each tower type you have has done.
WALKTHROUGH
If all you want to do is beat the game, you only need to know two things.
- You can buy and sell a tower for the same price, so feel free to sell towers and move them
- There is only one good tower in the entire game; every other tower sucks. It is the one with the robots (Middle Right) because it instantly traps a villager and just drains their health until they die.
If you want to win, don't purchase any Towers; just start the level and immediately unlock robotics, wait until the cutscene is over, and then place as many of the robotic trap guys as you can. You can always place more of them than there are enemies, and since you only get money when an enemy is defeated, you're guaranteed to always have money, especially in story mode where the enemies get harder and harder. So eventually with normal towers you'll stop making money because you won't be able to kill them. Pretty soon, you'll be swimming in money, and if you upgrade, you can make the robots kill the enemies twice as fast and increase the amount you get per tower. Once you've done this, if you want to see the other pop up, you can put down other Towers in front to see what they do or play sandbox mode.
The game is very unbalanced and kind of broken, but I enjoyed breaking it. It felt like a puzzle. Fun little game you can play and beat in, like, 15 minutes. I would also like to claim the world record for the sandbox, making it to wave 47 before my terrible laptop crashed. I have the screenshots to prove it. They give you enough money to fill every single space with a tower and fully upgrade it by like wave 6. They never even made it halfway.
The game is probably a 3.5 out of 5, but I will cut it some slack.
