Life getting in the way of things running smoothly with our passion projects? It happens, no surprises there.Yeah I'm sorry I do apologize as summer was insanely busy with work so I didn't have much time to work on this game. I'm trying to get back into the rhythm and catch up with sharing some sneak peaks of the characters. As for the wild child, I do have a similar character that you can meet in the story and discover her past. Please look forward to future updates soon!
The map and game logo isn't enough for you?Is there any preview for the game yet?
8 months and we dont'have even faces of family? that's the first thing you create in a game, and it's made in one week of work at maxThe map and game logo isn't enough for you?![]()
So, why don't you create the game yourself ?8 months and we dont'have even faces of family? that's the first thing you create in a game, and it's made in one week of work at max
if you think that it need 8 months to create 3 faces, it need 27 years to create a single chapter, not speaking about a full game...So, why don't you create the game yourself ?![]()

For my part, I always created the story and the dialogue before really getting into the graphics, so no graphics for six months or a year... To each their own method. Beautiful graphics without a story don't seem interesting to me.if you think that it need 8 months to create 3 faces, it need 27 years to create a single chapter, not speaking about a full game...
Did you ever create a all game ?7 months with no progress whatsoever for the 'spiritual successor' to a game that barely logged 3 updates in the last 5 years seems oddly and dysfunctionally appropriate.
The only thing worse than the history of supremely shitty development in this 'series' are the weird as fuck fanboys who still sit around years later, making excuses and apologies for all the empty promises, broken deadlines, and incompetent horseshit that surrounds the so-called developers.
Face it, folks. 7 months with ZERO progress and a dozen excuses as to why means that this 'spiritual successor' is another case of a dreamy-eyed dev biting off way more than they could chew and crashing and burning.
But mark my words, the same weird sycophants that still haunt the last failed dev's memory will be here on hand to make excuses for the new failures as well.
I've co-produced more than a dozen. Which means financing, direction, and a significant amount of close work with the dev teams. I have been directly involved or indirectly adjacent to this industry for decades. I understand the challenges involved with background and character art, with UI, with storyboarding, with outlining the narrative, with mechanics, with coding, with marketing promotion. The gamut.Did you ever create a all game ?
I'm going to be honest with you. This is not a project for you, it's to big, to ambitious and time consuming for whatever your life situation is in now. The original project stalled out and died because of the solo dev taking to much water over his head. And this is the situation you're in right now too. Thanks for sharing your perspective and you're right about one thing. I haven't been consistent with public updates. That's on me, and it's something I'm working to improve. Being a one-person team means progress is real slow, and unfortunately that doesn't always translate into screenshot-worthy posts every month.
But let me clarify something. I have repeatedly called for anybody interested-both those with experience and those with none-to join the development process. That door was always open. If lack of progress really has been such a strong concern for such a long time, one might wonder why such offers were not taken up, in particular by people who have industry experience and are enthusiastic about the success of the project. Help would've made a real difference.
The project isn’t dead as it’s being built at the pace that a solo developer can realistically sustain. Life happens, responsibilities happen, and sometimes that means long stretches without public-facing material. But that doesn't mean nothing is being worked on behind the scenes. I realize that for some, past experiences with other incarnations of this franchise have left them jaded, and I'm not dismissing that. But I'm not the previous developer, and this isn't the same situation. I am not here to make excuses, just giving an honest explanation of where things stand. If there are people who seriously wish this project to speed up or gain momentum, the invitation to contribute is still open, and always has been. Please feel free to either message me here or on Discord as I am more than happy to take any offers of help I can get. Thank you and stay tuned!
I am telling about one person work, not teams, about no financial or commercial thing. Have YOU ever made a game? Do YOU know how to code, write, draw and so on ?I've co-produced more than a dozen. The gamut.
And I said it years ago with regard to the original developer and will say it again with this one. When you go past six months with no meaningful progress whatsoever to report and only excuses to offer, then the project is DEAD.
Eight months ago Aexier said he was 'pouring work into the project every single day.' At the time he shared an image of a map with some icons. Nothing since. No screenshots, no progress reports, no updates, nothing.
The first quarter of a project's inception is typically the strongest and carries the most momentum. If the plane stalls out before it even lifts off the ground, the journey is doomed. People hanging around here asking for updates that never come is an embarrassing reminder of the YEARS of identical behavior with the original game.
Please recall that there had been only ONE update in two years' time with GATES even before the military buildup in Ukraine.
This whole project/franchise/fiasco has been a doomed failure since the end of 2019. I wish people would stop flogging it.
