Depends on your goal. If it's to make money, you should probably study the market and see what the most popular games here have in common (probably a male MC, mutliple women/harem, RenPy visual novel game loop, good 2D or 3D art, competent writing, frequent updates, etc.). But if you just want to make a game you yourself would like to play, then you can ignore all that. Predicting the market is difficult at the best of times, and no one's figured it out yet, so chasing after market trends can easily turn into a fool's errand.

I think you're already heading the wrong way. when you try to average things (kinks) that are mutually exclusive you end up cutting yourself out of all audiences. when you try to average tastes you end up with gray or brown sludge instead of all the explosive colors of the rainbow.
