I'm looking for a good, free video editor.

Desirables:
  • Supports Various file types. MP4, webm, gif. ...
  • Free or under $50. One-time purchase. No subscriptions.
  • No shitty adds and no bloatware.
  • No shitty watermarks.
  • Downloadable. Usable when offline. No cloud support. Doesn't talk to the internet at all.
  • And the basic editing features: cliping, audio/visual tracks, cut, speed control, resize, and export.
Considering using ClipChamp, but it's always on and has a watermark.

davinci resolve is an industry standard tool with a free version.

takes some trickery to install on older windows but is doable as well.
