Same happened for me but it eventually did work when my cursor was down near the bottom of the screen.
So just keep clicking until you find the "sweet-spot"

Having said that it seems to be a phone based playthrough and I deleted it shortly afterwards.
I may be wrong, and if so apologise to the Dev.

Can’t read fmc texts it’s black on black no start option load or save mc dialogue box won’t show I’m tapping everywhere on the screen just to find the right spot lol.
