VN - Ren'Py - Beyond Constraints [Update 1] [Mist Studios]

Mixed feelings about this game.
The plot is pretty straight forward.
The Cuckquean trope as the main theme is nice and starts well.
Unfortunately the dev forces several "LIs" outside of the family onto the player.
I disliked the ugly secretary the most, other complained about the sister of the best friend.
Takes away player agency and is especially nasty when the secretary is the ex.
The graphics are quite nice.
The MC is good looking and seems overall an ok guy.
The main girl, his wife Rose, starts out nice as well. Over time she starts to push the MC into sex scenes he didn't really want, including the secretary. Dumb mistake in my opinion, and a very bad sign for her character build up.
The family is the typical trope of characters, with one bitch, one nerdy and one motherly.
Overall fitting, and beautiful.
Forced lesbian scenes are also still in the air, as they were already planned.
It is a decent start, but I still hope the dev comes to their senses and makes the questionable "LIs" avoidable, completely.

Review for Update 1
Well I dont get how this game got so many 5 star reviews, as I believe the game to be a poor game. Well lets get into it.

First of all, the storyline is a mix of cliché and weirdness. You have the typical landlady and roommates, which of course is just not original anymore. Plus the storyline where u need to f you best friends sisters, bcs she is too h*rny. Bruh, and this plan is from your best friend. Yeah... let that sink in.

Well the dialogue / romance is also typical. All woman are nice to the MC and are immediately into him, even though there seems to be nothing interesting about him. There are no LI's in this game with some edge or complex/interesting personalities. Just mindless girls who's goal in life seems to be to please the MC and just that alone.

The graphics are decent, but nothing out of the ordinary. I definitely played worse games and this is a first version, therefore one star is too harsh. Therefore two stars is all I can give. If you like storylines and depthful romances/dialogue, I would avoid this game.

i really like this first update, looks like a game with a lot of potencial.

good renders,characters and animations,and the story looks promising.

I wish the dev all the luck and health, so he can maintain this quality in future updates.

It’s early to give a full review but thought I’d throw this in here seeing as it has only 5 star reviews so far.

Writing is pretty good. Nice renders, girls are attractive and a lot of content for a first release. However, story/character development is shallow. There’s way too many women and going to add more sounds like this will be wide as an ocean and deep as a puddle. And the suggestion of allowing polls to decide fetishes and women sounds like a good way to create a mess.

And I get that the dad is an asshole and the desire for a dramatic ending, but how can he leave the wife/mom high and dry financially from everything talked about in the story from the beginning and leave with that ending message? Hopefully there's some good explanation or the story gets adjusted a little there. I'm fine with easy women porn logic but it's kinda nice if logic holds true for the everyday stuff and we don't get twisted bs. I would think there are other wammy's that could be thrown that make more sense.

This could rate anywhere between a 2 and 4 imo based on if you prefer lots of fappable scenes or like to have story/character development. This first release leans heavily towards the first, with the premise of a power harem game with a cuckqueen wife and the best friend pimping the mc out to lots of women both at home and at work.

Great renders and dialogue. Character designs are also very good with a nice variety and their personalities are pretty fleshed out. Also like that the character designs don't fall into the trap of all looking similar in the face. Worth keeping an eye on.

Played the first update and have not one complaint other than iIwas mad that it came to and end all I want to do is continue to play this story. But one point of criticism would love for the music to be in both the main menu and the gameplay not just in the main menu.

Beautiful renders, engaging story (so far). Each scene is beautifully crafted, and the dialogue feels authentic. This game shows great promise. Excited to see how future updates expand this promising world! Best of luck dev!
