I was supposed to watch the porn movie we filmed with mom, the scene where a guy tight her up and he was about to fuck her, but then left, so I entered the room and "started the show".
After that I was supposed to watch the movie with Aunt Kira and Mom at Lounge at 8pm.. never happened.. On that moment the game was fked up... I re edited everything and now it should goes well.. but the scene movie dosnt come... do you know which thing I have to trigger, to make tha last conversation available? or to do something so I can see that scene and continue with the game? Thanks

Well... Not sure if this has anything to do with BBME, but I'll try to help.
First of all, what did you meant "I re edited everything and now it should goes well.."? You've made some changes in files on your own? Then I need to know, which changes exactly? Also, which mods are you using, if any?

Next, I will assume that only events from the base version of the game are used.
So, probably you are talking about scene 08.bn.xx, when Alice comes and finds out that Max, Ann and Kira are filming in porn.


It's opened from event mom.tv.next.1 (base repeating movie watching with mom event) by reply "Is aunt Kira going to come over?"

That reply has conditions:

• msex = 0 - if Ann don't want to make sex with Max herself yet? So this option will became unavailable after Ann jumps on Max in her bedroom and Max will say "Great! My 'harem' is getting bigger! Mom finally wants to have sex with me as much as I want to have sex with her..." (scene 13.af.xx), which seemed to be the final scene of Ann's butt massage with anesthetic lotion events series.
• motv = 0 - not sure, it seems to be "if Ann didn't jerked off to Max while watching porn on TV yet". There is no set_motv_1 in txt files, only to 2, 3 and 4, but only after it's already > 0, so it should be set to 1 by game engine in some special case, I don't know...
• kiratvcan > 0 - again, I didn't found where this variable is set to 1, but it is set to 0 at the end of 08.bn.xx scene, so it should be something like "if that scene is already available and isn't played yet".

First of all, what did you meant "I re edited everything and now it should goes well.."? You've made some changes in files on your own? Then I need to know, which changes exactly? Also, which mods are you using, if any?

Hey @Vikar73, thanks for the help man. Sorry about the post, but this forum dosnt have private messeges, and wasnt sure if "conversation" mode works... And you did help me before, and I dont know if there is any other that know that well the internal files... I was doubting about it, but I asked you cause couldnt resist anymore not having the chance to advance in the game

"I re edited everything and now..." blabla.. means that I opened the save game... and went to the place -> where I couldnt continue, because of the "handcuffs stuff" we talked before...
so I edited the handcuff options(like you said), I delete them from my inventory including the story of it...
So this time just to be sure I did the same for the black stockings and the highschool skirt... (cause never read anywhere that I should buy them or get them, or in the story in which place I should use them...etc) so I delete them and fixed everything just in case.

After doing all that... I tried to play more "fair" the game... without "cheating", now only having the skills at maximum and some $$ thats all...
continuing playing.. I could reach the normal history of the handcuffs... (thanks of the edition stuff)
And now Im dating with Olivia while Lisa is my girlfriend...I have been to the coffe already and etc...

Im "dating" olivia right now... having done everything... except from the movie part... so my idea was to "edit" somewhere, to RE-have the dialog where Kira tells me to go to the lounge at 8pm to watch the movie... (thats my idea, dont know if the correct thing to do, just dont want to jump that scene)

Or I dunno what to do.. thats just an idea... But I really dont want to "jump" that part, I want to play it and I dont know which thing to edit.

I played the game twice and lose, so I didnt wanted to play again, so I downloaded the mod etc...
cheated the money and all skills flags etc etc... including items....

Sorry, I didn't realize straightway that it was you, who asked about handcuffs...

Well, I've opened your save in Save Editor and there is motv=4. That means, that you are already gone too far in games with mom while watching usual porn, probably even was caught by Alice during hj or bj. I'm not sure if there is a hole in logic or this is really a consequence of cheating, but as it coded now - game prevents family porn watching scene if sexual relations with Ann already gone too far.
Also, in your save file kiratvcan=0. Well, I've checked hidden hardcoded game logic (I gonna implement it in next BBME version) and it sets to 1 at the beginning of each friday (day=5) if momlust=32 and dcd.momlust=0. Both that variables have proper values in your save, but day of the week is thursday (day=4).
Thus, to solve that problem you need to set motv to 0 in Save Editor and wait in game until Friday. Hope, it'll help.

And I'm thinking, that in future similar cases it would be better if you'll really use "conversation thing", it indeed works like private messaging.

P.S. To return back your progress in sex with Ann during evening porn watching, resetted by motv=0, you'll need to buy again erotic movie “Red Line”.

I'm not so familiar with the game engine, but it seem to work like you described. * is for added options ~ for deleted option of basic game, and if in basic game is an emo, then in the implemented start of a new scene, obviously not necessary.
Since BBv0.13 there are txt files in Data, no longer encoded dat-files, so it is possible to implement a new scene directly in the game. A lot of the moduls of my mod are already included into the text-files, more and more from mod.txt will follow.

I've looked inside assembly-csharp.dll and now can say surely, how it works:
First of all, there 2 different mechanics for events in mod.txt, the one for events that has prototype event with same ID in basic files and the other one for completely new events, added in mod.txt.
It's important, that prototype event certainly should be in one of basic files, not in mod.txt itself. New events, added in mod.txt, can't be modified with * and ~ prefixes by later entries in mod.txt.

If there is an event with prototype, then only options with * and ~ prefixes are meaningful, all other information - picture, emotion, event text, options without these prefixes - will be just ignored by game engine.

If there is an event without prototype, it would be simply added, as if it were declared in one of basic files.

All events in mod.txt could have multiple entries, in that case event header (picture, emotion, event text) from first event will be used (if will be used at all), but options lists from all entries will be combined.
On the contrary, if there will be several events with the same ID in basic files, then only the first one will be used and all following ones will be completely ignored.

Maybe, this explanation could be useful for someone.

Sorry, can't reproduce an error, your files works fine for me with '0.9.5 fix' version.
Could you give me a bit more information, please?

1. When it crashes, how it looks? Does it give any special message?
2. What did you do, exactly, step by step, before it crashed?
3. Does it crash after such actions every time?
4. Could you send me full bbme_log.txt, stored right after crash?

That actually was the full BBME log file but added it again

1. First time i start it i get the configuration screen to define the Big Brother folder locations. After saving the locations no other window appears. Any subsequent attempt at starting BBME shows nothing
2. Just tried starting it as per answer 1.
3. Every time i attempt to start it crashes without errors. see below for the 2 event log items for the app crash

Not sure if it's been mentioned in the thread but Microsoft doesn't properly use Admin level accounts on consumer grade OS's (probably not on their Server OS's either but never tried)...so programs like BBME sometimes need to be 'run as administrator' in order to work properly despite already being an "admin" user. I've had to do this for both the old version of BBME and 'v.0.9.5 fix' version (not to mention 100's of various other programs).
Running Win 10 x64 1709, UAC disabled.

With both versions of BBME it'd crash & say upload BBME.log to here, but BBME.log was devoid of anything indicating an issue; the log stopped at "such & such loaded OK" so I haven't bothered to upload it.

SO.......try right clicking the BigBrotherEditor.exe file and choose 'Run as Administrator'.

Well the issue has been found

Windows Defender (Windows 10 1803) was the cause. Its causing a sharing violation on bbme_log.txt. From that point on the paths diverge and the process crashes
Adding the BigBrotherEditor.exe process as an exclusion resolves the issue. Excluding the BBME folder does not resolve it, it has to be the process
