The reason why Puzzle hentai games are so often made is not due to popularity, no one wants to pray to RNGesus that they are given the tiles they need to finish this level and see art rather than be damned to either save scum or restart. They are there to pad play time, especially if it's a Steam game, they want to push you over the refund mark. Try to dance around it as enticement or motivation, but to many it's like having someone bashing their pinky toe with a weight. I'm not saying you can't like it, just don't go around trying to look down the snoot at others for wanting something less luck rather than skill dependent (and off with on your bike with you if you try that 'Luck is a skill' tripe). I'm just glad it's not "jump through all these hoops, oh and on a limited timetable too!"
If I were to suggest anything, it would be to first clear the grid and start fresh each level. This way your not stuck with trying to recover from all the hoops and random draws before. The "Must have this one thing that only RNG can ever hand out" was obnoxious as there is no way to try to force or prompt it via combinations I found, only chance. So either put in a fixed way to get the Skull, Bat, and Jack-o-lantern or up the chances of them. I spent 10 minutes on the Skull leg of the Witch puzzle and then another 35 on the Tombstone part because it would not spawn the specials.
