Black Incense is an adult RPG and visual novel set in modern-day London. You play as a 19-year-old university student whose ordinary life begins to splinter after a chance encounter exposes the hidden world beneath the city, a network of occult societies, political intrigue, and forbidden desire.

Across a branching narrative filled with choice, consequence, and temptation, you will define who she becomes and what she is willing to sacrifice. Every decision shapes her personality, her relationships, and the power structures around her. The prologue already includes over 100,000 words of dialogue, more than 200 pieces of custom artwork, and 30 unlockable scenes as you shape her life up until the start of the story, a complete, self-contained introduction to the game’s depth and ambition.

Good spot 200 art pieces for one release wouldn’t be possible otherwise! Have made sure to label it AI CG, totally get if that’s not some people’s thing though.

That’s the medium term aim! This took long enough for first release, but would love to do it sometime

It will have both but both will be totally avoidable. My game design philosophy is very much pro-player choice. Baldurs Gate 3 is a high bar to aim for but I do want that kind of choice in game as the story unfolds.

Simply a nod to occult themes! Interracial scenes will be available but e.g. two out of thirty of the sex scenes for the prologue, lots of other choice also available.

Yeah it was quite a lot of work… monthly releases will likely be closer to maybe 25000 words (although don’t want to put an exact figure on it) but wanted to put down a marker that gives people an idea of what I’m aiming for here!
