I agree, Blackgate is dead. It's still a shame though because how promising the game was. I'm not sure if the scummy double dipping behavior started before are after Bane reportedly fell into a depression seven years ago but it's still very strange given the amount of time that has passed. If he's really seriously ill and hasn't sold his patreon to some scam artist he probably really needs help.

If you are so concerned about Bane, Why not try everything you can to reach out to him and "offer your help"?

All these "Depression" "Bane is in trouble" talks are all unsubstantiated rumours. Nobody know what really happened.
If he was / is in serious trouble but didn't try his hardest to reach out for help, what you expect others to do?

He's just another random NPC to most people. We don't have any bearing to his life, nor does he to ours.
He doesn't care a bit for those who financially supported him, why should anyone care about him?
We have more realistic stuffs to worry about.

BTW, Even if Bane did sell the project to some con artist (Secretly), He is still a scumbag that betraying his audiences, left them voluntary to be scammed unknowingly. He doesn't deserve any sympathy.
