Now here's a short and sweet game!
If you like games where you're powerless and you need to avoid traps that'll increase a variety of stats, then this game's got a healthy amount of that!
For a short game, the corruption is very slow, so if you accidentally run into traps or get caught in a scene, but you don't want the full lewd & horny ending, don't worry.
You also get enough recovery items and money that you'll never have and issue keeping your Lewdness down, especially if you want to look at any of the hornier scenes and then go back down.
The game tells you this much at the very start, and it tells you that before the end you can buy everything to basically customize yourself how you want. So you're allowed to enjoy the game however you like and you really won't miss any content.
Which is good and bad. The starting stage is very slow and easy. It'd be nice if every enemy and trap you encounter forced you to struggle out, getting more challenging depending on your climax-gauge and developed fetishes. Instead it's just a simple mash-button gauge that's the same from start to end. (Also the climax gauge doesn't decrease after you climax!)
There's no story but there is some cute dialogue for examining things, collecting pink & white memos, and talking to a handful of enemies later on. From scene one you can tell the bad guys aren't super serious, and the silliness only increases each stage.
It's cute. It paints a picture that Lapis is clearly interested in sex, without needing to be tortured like many other games treat our heroines.
Each stage has plenty of variety. The first 2 stages might feel a bit linear and stale after however many floors you go through, but every stage after that I feel like does something interesting.
Stage 4 was my favorite, it's kind of maze like, I feel like if every stage were that way I may have enjoyed it more? Maybe not? Maybe too many mazes is bad. Who can say.
Either way. This game's clearly made to be enjoyed at your own pace, punishing scenes that increase tons of stats aren't super punishing overall due to the slow corruption rate, scenes are almost always easy to recognize, and enemies are easy to avoid. So if you want to take it easy and immerse yourself in the role then this game does a good job of giving you that opportunity.
As I said before, there's tons of ways to make it more challenging, more punishing, more interactive. But I feel that, like the story, even gameplay wise it doesn't want you to take it seriously.
I'd say it's an okay ~3.5 star! It's short enough that I'd definitely recommend it.
