judging by the previews, is the new remade CGs feeling more cartoony? or is it just my brain fucking with me cuz I've not checked this game for a year.
It's basically Live2D but for AI CG. Given how many AI games are getting pumped out and lazily done, this has promise.

Wish the decisions meant more. So far, there's a Bad End decision at the end of Ch 1, and the complete opposite ends of each path generate slightly different scenes. It's a linear story with tweaked results depending on your choice of power dynamic, but the destination is netorase for both. That hasn't changed with the remake.

Looks good so far, I still have my apprehensions though. I feel like the biggest issue of the original was that after some time, Tori seemed to have no idea where to go next. The update with the Greek party felt extremely off and out of place compared to what was given to us previously. I hope that the rest of the first arc gets a major change in the narrative and allows for a more cohesive and natural progression of NTS exploration and focuses on the main characters and their development.

well done Torimiata. you come back despite all the negative criticism you may have received and you have to have courage. There weren't many of us who supported you and said that we had to wait and give you time to work at your own pace. now we will see the same people who cried foul and destroyed Torimiata by insulting him come here and say that they adore him. Next time, I hope some people will respect the developers more.
Torimiata, continue your game with your ideas that we liked so much in the past. Good luck

The game actually feels much better. I was afraid that some of the charm would be lost, but the results are good. Even though not that much of the game has been remade, it's still nice progress.

I really like this remake. There are a few changes but the story progress much better and the renders are great

Did the initial playthrough under the TQ route, found a bad ending. Will try the other route a bit later.

So far the images look great, it was cleaned up really nicely compared the original but I think what got all of us hooked was the story and acceptable enticing images of the original. After my initial playthrough, I think the Dev should have first focused on continuing the story, and then once completed, began the remaster. But of course we can't change the past so we're now on this route moving forward. So I'm hoping that by moving to this new, more polished type of renders, the content can rollout out at a much faster rate. Though, I can't help but feel worried, as after all this time, we technically only got act 1 which is up until

I hope Tori can keep their promise of consistently putting out content every 2 weeks, as I'm really looking forward to seeing how the remake can change the quality of the existing story for the better, and more importantly the development of this story past 0.5.2.

I hate when devs do remakes of games that really didn't need one but this seems to have turned out fine so far, this dev is a great writer. Interesting to see where it goes from here.

Writing is good. Impressed with characterization. For example, Terrace subtly defending MC by deflecting from his story, showing that he's a real friend. Great art too. A real remake... Never thought I'd see the day.

So it's not bad, the frequent animated backgrounds are a nice touch....everything plays very nicely...

but......

months and months and months?? It's basically the same game - as someone pointed out earlier, the graphics were never the highlight here - while Ayumi looks good, it's still fundamentally an ai cartoon game. Plus, when it was originally out it stood alone as one of the few decent ai nts games. So much time has elapsed now it has more competition by way of MNGF, MRL, SoA, Port Haven, College of Mysteria; most of these with equal or better visual fidelity. It'll still attract the anime-lovers more than those other titles, but if it doesn't pick up the pace it risks being left behind as more and more ai titles come up with more frequent updates.
