So it's not bad, the frequent animated backgrounds are a nice touch....everything plays very nicely...

but......

months and months and months?? It's basically the same game - as someone pointed out earlier, the graphics were never the highlight here - while Ayumi looks good, it's still fundamentally an ai cartoon game. Plus, when it was originally out it stood alone as one of the few decent ai nts games. So much time has elapsed now it has more competition by way of MNGF, MRL, SoA, Port Haven, College of Mysteria; most of these with equal or better visual fidelity. It'll still attract the anime-lovers more than those other titles, but if it doesn't pick up the pace it risks being left behind as more and more ai titles come up with more frequent updates.
100% right

but......
I think he's done pretty great, technically. Whether it was the best decision is irrelevant to argue about but little pieces of animation and those 2.5D bits do give it more life, and the scenes are much more immersive than before.

I've never paid a penny for a porn game so there's no shilling or sunk cost coping for me but, classic Tori deadlines aside, it was clearly laid out as being a small chunk releasing now to stagger the rest of it out. We'll see how that actually goes but I've got faith in the guy. He needs those dollars after all.

IS there a way to max out the Tease Queen bar fist day? If so, what at the choices that lead to it.

I won't dispute from a technical aspect; it's improved - but I think people need to stop looking at it contextually and evaluate it honestly in a vacuum. If you had no idea of this game's history, and played it side by side with one of the other new ai titles i mentioned, most people would probably be like "shrug, they're both decent". Where things will get dicey is in a month or two from now when this is still rehashing the build-up story, and those others have moved on to full-on progression.

Is this where I sign up for the 'disappeared for months just to drop a preview' club? Cuz I have a problem with that guy too :coffee:

Jokes aside - it's technically a 'preview' but we're talking 40k words and several new scenes - not exactly a small preview.

What changed? Everything. New art pipeline (took forever to get right but worth it), completely rewritten dialogue, new scenes, full 1080p... Started as a remaster, turned into a proper remake.

Story wise, it will of course feel entirely familiar for now so if you want to wait until the whole Act 1 catches up, totally get it but it's about time stuff is actually happening.

Some decisions I’ve made might not resonate with everyone, but the game is in a place that feels much more polished and cohesive to me.

Updates will be dropping every two weeks for a while too as this is a staged release.

Haters gonna hate, and even more so in this forum. I think the work and effort are amazing, keep it up and many more patrons will follow.
