Looks like Tori has chosen the tease queen path. Is life imitating art too much?
Release shenanigans aside I'm suprised we don't have much/any fan art yet, unless I've missed it. A lot of other AI/AI assisted game threads have some heroic coomer who can't resist figuring out how to replicate the styles.

Funny you say that! There's a channel dedicated to fan art in the Discord, unfortunately it's not as active as I'd wish but I can't say much considering I'm not contributing lol.

People here have got pretty impatient, I see. I'm still cool waiting, as long as I'm not let down on the amount of content that comes next update.
a remaster of a half finished game? wtf.. just finish the damn thing in the same style and THEN do remasters and DLCs. People are hungry for new content, not the same content in different pictures/words.
Not really possible. The AI tools that Tori uses updated their methods and so any new pics will come out a bit different from now on. "Remastering" the old pics just maintains consistency between the way the new and old pics since the new ones are unavoidably going to change.

kinda funny how the dev diaries for this game mostly function as postponement announcements

I'm really enjoying your game Tori and the relationship between the four friends, I hope you don't add any more characters that will ruin this quartet, other than that I'm really looking forward to the new update

That first old/new looks really good IMO -- I had only seen the second pic with the teeth before this. I have even more confidence now that this wait will be worth it.
I kinda like the old ones a bit more. They are nearly identical, but there is more character to the old cg. The new one has a more generic anime feel to it. The lightning change also bothers me a little.
But, if this change of models makes it easier and quicker for Tori to generate images of appropriate quality, the it is worth it for sure.

New one is a little too anime for me. The old one had that 'obviously AI generated' look to it, but it was also a little more stylistically different since it almost looked like it was imitating an acrylic painting. The new art style is much more flat, which can be better for clarity, but is a also a bit more generic IMO. I don't mind the change, but it's definitely less to my preference.

It seems I'm not the only one who enjoys the Previous version more.
The thing is that the new version seems very "anime style", and it looks very I don't know.... the previous one seemed to have touches of AI but with light touches of hand-drawn.
In the end I like the new design.
and I hope people do too, but yes Old > New.
