I don't think hard NTR or cheating will be in the game. I mean even in Tori own words he says: From playful banter to pushing boundaries, a spicy yet wholesome girlfriend sharing story - NTS Visual Novel - No Cheating/NTR.

Me when I open up the forum and it's just people arguing over the MC's dick size and how that somehow means the game completely changed genres 
It's a discussion over new art direction and new scenes where Ayumi talks about her EX having bigger dick making MC feel more pathetic. Some people dislike these new changes, while others try to gaslight others into believing these changes don’t exist. If you look into game files, you will find out that almost all CG are sliced onto ~30 layers to make this effects. It could potentionally overload almost any normal GPU. Also game probably require to run it onto SSD as well.
P.S. Ayumi face on sprites and some CG looks worse than original.
30 layers on repeat with no, or close no pause would cause game to stutter. Dev should try to add some higher pause between pictures changes. I'm not going to dig into the code, but I suspect that's how it is done. That's how a game developer looking for the simplest solution with little codding knowledge would do.
I wonder if the uneven lines are a result of images being drawn without removing the older ones, layering on top of each other and creating a stark contrast between the image lines. He should try to blue/add transparent to additional layer images. Maybe it would help.

Like you, I have an old GPU. It's a midrange Radeon from 2016. If userbenchmark.com's numbers can be trusted, my card is 10x faster than yours. Even so, I do experience significant slowdown during certain scenes.

mine just opted out and blue screened XD my laptop sounded like it was about to hit mach 3
Maybe try using RivaTuner to limit renpy game frame rate to 10-20. Should be still playable without laptop exploding.
I see, considering what someone else quoted me before as well maybe it would be a good idea to reconsider the "static animation" (how the CGs move to create a 3D effect in every scene) for the sake of optimizing the game (I'd say that's what's mainly causing lag, but I can be totally wrong since I have no inner information/understanding about code).
To me the 3D effect is kinda nice, adds more details and quality to the game ofc, but if it's making the engine struggle maybe it's not worth it? Since even a 10x faster GPU is still struggling a bit. The usual static CG for all those scenes would be great alone.
But to be honest I don't mind the lag as long as I can still play the game and my pc doensn't explode lol, but it would be nice to play smoothly, however since the 30 FPS I get doesn't matter in this kind of game it's not that frustrating for me too.
It probably uses similar layer technique like slay the princess and some renpy konosuba hentai game (that has 2.5D effect on some scenes). Both works perfectly fine on my old laptop. It is just bad code implementation.
As long as it's all for the purpose of turning the MC on, I don't really see the harm. Considering how loving MC and Ayumi's relationship was before the remake, I don't expect that to change too much. Humiliation is a side of cucking that a lot of people find hot. So if that's included I don't mind. Should probably be an optional thing, though.
PROs:
- i think the new art is pretty great, which was one of my biggest concerns. great job.
- the new choice system seems fun, and playing around with it, the choices really change the scenes
- i love the new ayumi characterization, getting into her past earlier, having her talking about other guys so early is amazing, great change
CONs:
- performance is terrible, i didn't do any benchmarking but the game might be 5gb and running like ass when it's caught back up to 0.5.2
- i do not believe the dev when he says 2 week releases. he has never kept a promise like this. even if they come out every 2 weeks, expect half-scene progress every release. the parallax, the multi route - all signs point to a glacial pace of progress
- im actually shocked at how little content is released for a remaster that was "almost done" for months.
- choosing to start charging again for incremental releases of the remaster after promising not to charge until the remaster is done is shameful. i will not be supporting this dev anymore.

The last one does it for me. It's a sign that Tori actually finished much more than what the first release provides. He's probably just hiding the rest of it behind every two weeks so people will have an incentive to subscribe to his Patreon again. Who's to say that he's not doing this? It wouldn't be the first time a dev deliberately delayed content for more money rather than just giving it to us when it's done.
Nice Remaster, new sistem is good and the art is great, little content for now but lets see if he can keep the promise of a update each 2 weeks. So far so good.

It certainly means the Dev has designed the MC specifically for a more masochist/submissive/cuckhold role. Again, not an issue. Not into it, but so what? I don't have to play the game.
Issues arise when Devs decide they also want a "dom" option for the MC. This barely ever works. If you want both routes, you have to design an MC that's believable in both roles. When your MC is the shortest guy in the game, with the smallest dick, and an all around insecure personality a dominant role becomes simply unbelievable.
On top off that, usually the so called "dom" path doesn't actually involve the MC being dominant or assertive. It often only removes the humiliation and femdom content, but doesn't add any maledom.
All of this wouldn't be an issue if devs wouldn't call this secondary path "assertive" or "dominant". Just call it what it is. Standard equal relationship.
Then people that are looking for a more dominant MC won't feel deceived and most of the arguing will stop. They'll know the game isn't going to cater to their ppreferences and they will leave.

Dude, this is absolutely not worthy of controversy and anger. The author has problems releasing A NORMAL AMOUNT OF CONTENT. THIS IS THE MAIN PROBLEM. At this rate, the development of the game will be delayed for many years. The author of the game has already lied to us all that IT WILL START SOON, SOON SOON, as a result, instead of a blowjob scene, we get a REMASTER FOR 8 MONTHS. And now, after all this time, it's not even a COMPLETE REMASTER OF ALL THE CONTENT. This is A COMPLETE DISAPPOINTMENT IN THE AUTHOR, he is absolutely unable to force himself to make his game FASTER.

If you are a supporter, scream at him on patreon or discord. Otherwise I'd advise you to calm down and think about why you are so angry at a person who hasn't done you any harm whatsoever.
