Seems you in need of new hardware then, as far on my pc it runs smoothly, not even crash like other ren'py, rpgm and unity games.
lol i can run star citizen lol whats the issue is soon as the effects set in the cpu reaches 100% and my page file decides to eat 4tb of SSD space

Strange, doesn't do that to my pc, not sure what to tell you, but i did notice the stronger pc's get the harder it gets to play these kinda games, I even got many regular unity games that i can't play longer then 2 a 3 hours without a crash, but i run any heavy game with no problem at all.

Well, that was quick - leaked in under 12 hours! :HideThePain:

Just wanted to drop some context here:

About the Release:
• Yes, this is a two-week update (though not exactly to the minute - I'm solo dev, not a robot, file a complaint with HR  )
• Nearly 10,000 words of new scenes + dozens of new CGs - but be aware it's a character development update
• Definitely an intense dev pace (that was nearly 1k words per day!) - not sustainable long-term, but wanted to keep momentum and finish this arc

Story Stuff:
• Focus was on wrapping up Ari's intro arc with the new changes
• Planted some seeds in MC's head for near future fun
• Next scenes won't have flashbacks, so should feel more straightforward
• Remember: This is a remake, not a remaster - being rewritten from scratch - the goal was to flesh out the story, this is not a quick jerk-off game, read the intro disclaimer pls

Technical Bits:
• 3D effects need some polish, agreed, it's planned
• Working on making them toggleable in a future update
• You'll be able to choose based on preference/hardware
• But personally, I still love them, just needs love and time to get better

Super-fast leaks like this hurt development (as many devs here have mentioned) so I won't go there again. If you're enjoying the game, consider supporting it - not all support is financial!

Polished 0.5.28 likely released tomorrow, 0.5.29 in 2 weeks!
You made a remake no one asked for behind your customer's backs, so do not victimize yourself. that's like stopping an all ready awesome game and remaking it without releasing new content updates after where it was stopped. F95zone despite it's piracy gave you the biggest possible fanbase with the most amount of money possible than without it. You hurt your own development, not the leakers.

Still love you though, you have talent.

I mean this is a very good update for two weeks of development. I really enjoyed a deeper look into Ari and Kento's relationship. But wasn't this in development for a much longer time than two weeks? I thought that releases every two weeks mean that everything is almost ready and you just will be making small adjustments. But it seems like that's not how it is and the development is ongoing for each released part?
this is the key point: he told people for months that the whole remaster was almost done. now it's being sold in pieces, and is VERY CLEARLY being built as he goes.

i agree this is an impressive 2 weeks worth of work if everything needed to be done from scratch, but this was supposed to be almost done! people were signed up for patreon for 6+ months while the dev was pretending to develop a game and was instead experimenting with stable diffusion and learning how to use a parallax library for renpy .

that's really dishonest

Happy to know the 3D effects will be toggleable. They're nice but my pc can't handle them loool I prefer a static image with more fluid processing. Looking forward for this implementation.

Maybe i'm weird, but i'm the only one who is curious, now that are bad ends in the game does this mean that there will be also NTR endings in the game?

Same. My laptop and its 8 GB of RAM simply cannot handle the 3D effects.

You shouldn't need a fucking workstation to run a goddamn visual novel.

I think in the entire update of thousands of words he gave the player the grand total of ONE choice.

this is the most skippable update ever. idk what people are talking about.
There is only one choice, yes, but Ari is fucking fantastic. She is exactly what the remake needed. I'm getting strong Riley (from Girlfriend Tapes) energy from her; a smug, teasing childhood friend that tells you NTS stories and tries to steal you away from your gf. I really hope the game gives us the option to dump Ayumi and go with Ari.

Ok so wait the MC's main love interest is clearly Ayumi and your EXCITED that you can dump her and list that as a positive for the game....

brah wut?

That's actually a good question - as I have seen there's been a lot of misinformation about this here.

This is active development, not just releasing pre-made content. I have mentioned this on Discord/Patreon but:

Most of the OG CGs are ready.
The story outline is planned.
BUT the actual dialogue/scenes are being written fresh for each update.

The key thing is - this is a remake, not a simple remaster of old art. (Yes, it started as remaster but it hasn't been a remaster for a very long time...)

So while I have the foundation, each update involves a lot of writing and implementation work within those two weeks.

In fact, this update is an example of many new scenes, which is why I find using update timeline position to OG timeline position as a metric of development speed as making no sense. With that said, next update will be closer to OG timeline and should have a bit more spiciness - I'm really looking forward to that one.

Appreciate anyone enjoying & supporting the remake.
That's ... a lot of words, cool. But I don't really get what you are actually trying to say. You sure have done your best to answer as confusingly as possible :BootyTime:

But that's alright, I will not insist and will not judge. I am neutral on this since I am not currently subscribed. As long as you eventually get to the new content I am happy. I really like both the original game and the remaster, so I am content to wait.
