sessh! that animation looks dope,by any chance will this be on the actual game?
Appreciate that! I have been playing with animations for a while now, I'm a huge fan of them but I will only do them when the time is right.

I am so lost on the nebulous nature of this website lol. Torimata posts updates here but also leaks get posted here so when that happens the dev just has to throw his hands up and say "fuck it, i'll post it myself"?
I never leak the release myself here, that would be disrespectful to the supporters. But this is a piracy forum. Here you are at the mercy of 'heroes'.

I have voiced my opinion a few times:
I don't mind leaks but I would prefer if people waited at least some time because, as many devs have mentioned, it does affect support numbers for small developers.

I dislike DRM so I will postpone doing that for as long as I can but if immediate leaks happen on every single release I'll have to do something...

With that said, this is still an important community as many find games through here.

Just ignore the few bad apples. I don't even see their messages - for my own mental sanity. If you can't have a respectful discussion I will just ignore you and expect you to move to a different project, there are a million games out there.

I'm 100% with you guys on the party. I quite liked the idea of it, but I felt it really jumped the gun.
Hopefully Tori keeps it in but just paces it out a bit more realistically.
The party had some good ideas, the art portion is pretty nice cause that's one of the more unused scenarios in Hentai even if its popular in irl porn. I wish this part was a bit longer. Tbh idk if its because I enjoyed it more than the maze but the art section felt shorter than the maze lol this could be bias at hand.

The maze part was a missed for me personally. I'm not into futa/lesbian stuff so even the follow up part with Ari was a missed for me. The scenes are good though and if the portion of the community does enjoy it, I don't think Tori will change it up.

My main gripe will always be that Terrance wasn't as prominent in the party. And when he did finally showed up, we got blue balled.
I read all the posts about the party. Really appreciate all the ideas and feedback.

I love the toga party concept. It's an opportunity to really escalate things and go in a slightly different direction, compared to other games.

I don't think I did the best I could in the OG, so I also understand why it's so conflicting.

One other factor I didn't see anyone mention - but I think it's very relevant to the conversation - is that I found it hard to pull off anything truly fun because the narrative actually didn't progress enough by that stage - this really limited what I could do.

Pre-remake was still establishing characters, so I'd say we were in Act 1. Storyboarding isn't uncommon and usually groups events along an arc that's broken up into Acts; for all intents and purposes it means "sometime in the future."

I've been very critical about some of the remake's changes, but that bus stop flashback is one of my favorite scenes from both builds. Hope more of those flashbacks are planned, I feel like they'll be a good way to refresh the palate and character build between depravity without affecting the current timeline awkwardly.
I have talked a bit about the Acts in the past but I don't want to spoil too much.

It's an important narrative tool. Act 1 is literally the Setup. The Discovery stage.

Act 2 starts after the player locks out permanently Tease Queen or Submissive Pet route but I won't reveal how that will play out just yet.

Question, how passionate are you over the remake? Some people have their doubts that you're losing steam and getting burnt out to the point they think you'll eventually abandon the game. I personally don't know what to think, but I'm leaning more towards you not abandoning it.

:WaitWhat: Far from losing steam! I'm actually more invested in this remake than ever before.

The remake gives me a chance to implement everything closer to the original vision and with better quality. The original had a lot of heart but also tons of limitations. I don't think people realise how frustrating that was.

I'm solo and not even full time, so there will be weeks where things get more difficult but that's just life.

Anyone who has already played the new version, please provide a spoiler and details of what scenes it contains and how far it goes, please.

The irony being that the slow pace of updates causes people to NOT give money. Like I don't want to subscribe for 4 years straight for a single project. But I'd happily subscribe for bigger updates knowing this project will be complete on a reasonable timeline and then stick around if I like the next project. I'm subscribed to plenty of other Developers who just put out consistent full chapter+ updates every few weeks. I can't justify subscribing for a pittance of content. Maybe I'm missing something. Spending $5 a month for 5 minutes of content is horrendous value. I can get a movie ticket for $11.50 for 2 hours+ of content. I can spend $30 on a steam game for 50 hours of content. I don't mind getting a little less value to support a small developer but I need a little more than 5 minutes of content.

If anyone wants to try a recent ntr/nts game that is pretty good(which got attacked by ai haters and the game hasn't received that much recognition) try the game HEATED HASHTAG, has a lot of potential. I think it's close to getting it's next update.

What's new in it?
Update 0.5.31v2 follows up the bus stop flashback with the scene where Ayumi strips through Terrace's room. I thought it was well done, all fans of exhibitionism will have a good time. The strong-aligned MC felt more confident/assertive than in previous scenes. There were a few branch (or flavor) choices to make, though I haven't tried all variants yet.

To expand on this a little, it gives you a choice. I haven't played the entire second half yet, but depending on the choice it looks like Ayumi either quickly runs through like what happened in the OG version before the remake, or if you choose the option to encourage her exhibition, MC tells her to walk slowly through Terrazza's room naked.

There was a secondary choice as well (how long to wait before going after Ayumi). I liked how it established a tolerance threshold with the couple's button-pushing.

I want to tell you about a slightly sad moment. Version 0.5.2, which ended on a cliff with a terrace, was released on April 30th. And for almost a year now, we've been waiting for the remake to catch up with the original. I like the quality of the new remake and I'm happy to reread some of the points, I'm not going to complain about something because I get it for free. And I think that there should be healthy criticism in order for the game to improve.

Huh? This is a really dumb comment for like... a lot of reasons. First off I never said it didn't increase so it's entirely pointless to point it out and quote me. But lets say you're just refuting my "slow updates cause people to NOT give money" comment - then we're still back to square one because that doesn't refute that either. Objectively a lower subscription price or better updates would have MORE people giving money. I didn't say it would result in MORE money. The trick here is to find the balance between price and amount of content to milk the series as long as possible and maximize profit off the work and time. I don't think he's there personally and this graph doesn't disprove that as it's pretty difficult to prove either way without A. analysis beyond what any of us have the data to do or B. doing it and seeing if anything changes. This isn't even factoring into opportunity cost long-term. If you put out quality chunky updates you might gain subscribers for life or you may end up on the opposite side of that spectrum where people won't even bother to subscribe to any of your future work.

So I guess what I'm saying is... what even was the point of your comment? I'd be happy to have a discussion I just need something a little more coherent and less strawman-y.

I'm trying to figure out the point of yours, do you have specific insight on how Tori can gain more support?

The graph highlighted a growing pool of people giving more money over time, probably in reference to:

the slow pace of updates causes people to NOT give money.
The shorter release cycle was mentioned as intentional to collect feedback on the story and allow for adjustments. It's one developer doing this during their spare time, so they'd likely have to outsource to significantly increase speed (which has a whole other set of potential blockers/problems).

Your other post talked about doing time-cost analysis to choose "value" $10 entertainment purchases. Most people don't do that. My guess is many of us in that graph just throw Tori a $15 donation every now and then because the game is cool, we don't want it to die, and are thankful that they spend time on it.
