Torimiata said there will be changes to some scenes. So no, it won't be just the same game with different images. But we can only speculate how much of the script was actually changed for the remaster.

I feel like people are really underselling the remaster. Knowing how detailed Tori is and seeing the teasers he's released my prediction is it will make playing some of our favorite old scenes feel like new (thinking imagination scenes in the first days, beach scene, party scenes, etc). So even though narratively we know what happens, all of our favorite scenes from the beginning all the way up to our current update will feel fresh. Which means we can fully take our time and enjoy what's changed in the old stuff instead of rushing through it to get to the new stuff like we would have if it dropped with 0.6.

do we know if the remaster includes animations? dev had said in a previous update that animations were being "parked" whatever that means.
i thought the animations were a big part of the game previously. i hope they are still in the remaster. scenes like the pool won't be the same without them.
Yeah, I hope that there are still some animations here and there for important scenes. But I kinda doubt it. I think all of them will be gone for the remaster. Whever it will be worth it or not remains to be seen.
I mean the remaster version ....The actual update of 0.6 who knows when it'll come but the remastered version was supposed to be released today right ?
Yes, the remastered version should be releasing today, but I’m pretty sure Tori is American. So it’ll probably be 12+ hours from now for the update to actually release.
Well I didn't have too much expectations for it but since they actually communicated saying they'll release the remastered one on Sunday I had a little hope . Guess it's another delay probably...
You still need to wait 8-10 hours. Usually at this time, Tori releases something.
Depends on how you define “today”. It’s only 1:30 PM in my time zone and Tori released the last few updates around 8 - 10 PM.
I guess I'm getting too impatient since it's been long since the last update...the coming version would not technically be an update but a remastered one but still something better than nothing

The remaster looks like shit? So disappointing. It looks way more AI like now and lost its soul.
I don't think the remaster looks any better or worse than the original. Just different. I'll wait until it's out before I write it off. Hard to be positive about it when we've gone so many months without an update.
The truth is that at first glance the new remastered for my taste is not better than how it was before... but I understand that with these new models they are easier to do with AI? Because if so, I don't have any problems in exchange for receiving more updates faster and not taking as long as the old models.
